I was flipping and caught the end of one of these weddings.
A girl had on a 70 pound dress that she could barely move in.
The girls attending the wedding had on hardly any clothing, and some kids was grabbing all over a poor girl when she clearly wanted to leave.
What was going on here? Is this normal?
It looks like it takes place mostly in England and sometimes Ireland. They are a pretty self contained culture that has been living the same way for years and wants to continue to live that way, but there are less and less places for them to live so they have to move pretty often.
I was always amazed at the dresses, one episode said the girls were so young, they wanted to look like princesses on their wedding day, it looks like their life is pretty crappy after that. They can't be alone with boys until they are married but they dress and dance like hookers and complain when they have bad reputations. It looks like the men start drinking pretty young and keep at it, the women can't drink at all.
