Can't take The tough chick character

Why couldn't it have been her that got killed to start season 4??? She ruined the show for me!!

reply

Sorry to be slow, but who are you referring to?

reply

They are talking about Vic, and I happen to like her. I wish they wouldn't have killed Branch though, but it felt like his storyline had run it's course.

reply

I don't get how she's a "tough chick character"
She's just a cop doing her job

Did they have to do a Jennie McCarthy toilet scene? Some of us have families.

And yes, we have decided now, not to watch.

reply

But you're okay with letting them watch people getting gunned down on the show. Great parenting!

reply

When the bad people are hurt, we are OK. But the last season, 4, and now this season, we don't know what is going on.

So hence, parenting, we will not watch.

reply

Maybe a valid point, but still . . . the violence is "unreal" for most kids (fortunately), but sitting on the toilet invites a level of intimate reality that intrudes.

reply

All i see in Vic is a sleazy slut and she always looks like she needs a bath !! Disgusting

reply

So if she is a sleazy slut, then what are the guys who she slept with, innocent bystanders? Here we are in 2016 and women are still living in a world of double standards about sex.

reply

Ain't that the truth!

reply

I totally agree. Has her blouse hanging wide open, surprised men don't stick dollar bills into her brassiere as she walks down the street.

The manner of a character's "dress" or "undress" is a producer/network issue. Actors down on the totem pole rarely (if ever!) get a say-so in their wardrobe. Ask Marg Helgenberger of CSI fame. She complained and complained about that while on CDI. Sadly, no one cared....or no one was listening because she...was...[woman / actor / ???]. Out in the real business world, men wear shirts buttoned up to their necks, with a jacket on top of a shirt, even in sweltering heat. Women...don't. TV is just mimicking what the world has accepted as "OK" and, since TV isn't real -- doesn't matter if you're a Macy's cosmetic salesperson or a policewoman -- wardrobe and CGI is decided according to what American will watch, thus, how much green a show can sell/make. TV's mandate does not require it to be accurate or sensible...just ad-worthy. Want that to change? Stop Watching & Stop Buying. Want your kids to know the difference between "Real" (True) and "Not Real" (Untrue-False-Lie)? Don't let them watch.

reply

Again, double standard. Vic is dressed more then most of the women cops on tv. Most are in street clothes, and standing around in high heels and tank tops while the guys have on the full suit, tie, the works.
I said before that at least Vic has on a cami usually under her blouse in summer and a longer sleeve top in winter. More then most. The only other woman playing the part of a cop who dressed any where near normal was Catherine Morris on Cold Case. She wore black pants, button down blouse not undone, cami, and sensible shoes. Black blazer in the cooler weather. I think seeing women wearing high heels as cops is the funniest thing ever, as if they could run down a person in shoes like that.

But to say that Vic is sleezy, slutty and needs a bath is just rude.

Greyling5, you need to pray and pray hard that women like that do not exist in real life. My wife and I have our own little alter in the TV room and whenever anything 'worldy' appears on the TV we quickly turn it off and then pray together that what we have seen will not damn us and we also pray that the Lord Jesus (praise his holy name) will help us avoid such abominations as fallen women showing their cleavages on TV in future. Amen!

Oh I must add; my wife has recently begun to speak in tongues, using words that are totally unfamiliar to her or me - it is like some kind of foreign language. Words like *beep* S***, *beep* B****** and others even more strange to me. Oddly, this only occurs when our hero, Donald Trump, is on the television. What can it all mean?

Can I get a Hallelujah?

reply

I think I have whatever your wife has, I find words coming from my mouth also, mine are even worse then what your wife says, and it always occurs when that same person shows up on tv. What could it be!!!!

reply

So, she ruined the first 4 seasons, too? Your post makes no sense.

Agree. I find her annoying and a bit of a nag. At times she interject personal issues during official police questioning. She wears her uniform as if she were in a porn film. But I guess Walt can't afford to 1/3 to 1/2 of his deputies.

reply

Hahaha. Overreact much. I don't think she acts slutty or overly tough at all. Seemed quite vulnerable and fearful when she felt she was being stalked no? And you don't get many cleavage shots of her either there miss priss. Her camisole sees to that sadly
