it was fun! Sarah was great, Matt why? How was he a geek?
Yeah, this was a stereotypical cliched teen movie, but I enjoyed it. Sarah was brillant! I think she nailed the role as a princess and drama queen from the start! I really think if anyone who didn't know who Sarah was or didn't follow Modern Family, I think they will now.
My problem was Matt, c'mon how was he a geek, he didn't act like one, one bit. I said he did a better job acting like a geek as the Pokio guy Teddy was interested in the GLC episode. I think he really was in it only because he was her real bf. He was just flat in the performance. really should of channeled the Pokio guy in his performance instead.
I also like the role that the girl from PLLRS played as the former friend and his love interest, that girl has got an upcoming career ahead, and the best part is she is a real teen, I think she's barley 16, sometimes it helps to see an actual teenager play a teen, because you can really see how they come of age in their roles as they grow older.
One dynamic I liked is how the former friend was still her friend, but she was waiting for Dylan to snap out of the princess mode. I liked the element that she said that Dylan changed after her mother died, it's hard to lose a loved one, and I believe that does change a person.
One of my old best friends was my buddy, but when his mother died, he really changed in his personality, and we drifted apart. My father passed when I was young and he was my true best friend, and my closet buddies were afraid I might change, It was very difficult to deal with, even now I miss him dearly, but I made a vow not to change in front of my friends and family, because I know my father would be sad if I did, and I think my friends respected me for that.
So kudos for the writers to add that situation, and not have Dylan be like that, because her character wanted to do anything to be popular as she got older, It made her more real to the story.
One line I thought that Sarah delievered well when she said " You are so ga ross!" I think I never heard someone say it like that in a teen movie. lol
