Well, then. I actually...enjoyed it?
I might be the only one who enjoyed this movie. Then again, I went into it with FAIRLY LOW expectations. I usually can't stand DCOM's because they're all just so one-note to me, and filled with numerous cliches and poor acting, for the most part. Based on the promos, this seemed like one of the worst movies one could possibly create.
Don't get me wrong. This movie was filled with hilariously bad over-acting and cheesy lines/moments overall. BUT what saved this movie was Sarah Hyland's (or Dylan's) acting during the more serious moments. Few of those moments actually made me tear up, and I think Sarah actually has potential as a decent actress. She reminded me of a young Mila Kunis in some parts, as well.
So, overall, a cheesy, cliche movie. But it was filled with energy and charming performances, and I was able to laugh a bit, cry a bit, and exclaim things in disbelief. I enjoyed it a lot.
