OMG YESSS! - BUT CAST SOMEBODY GOOD

I hope they dont make all the cast look like fing ken dolls - ONLY GAYS in HOLLYWOOD and NYC look like that - Thats my main problem w/gay themed films ... They make everybody have a six pack ; large dick when its shown. I mean they need to have a bear/cub or a chub somebody to offset the craziness and somebody thats not OLD - because its to much! It seems that Gay Films you only have to be pretty and not act - I mean all the kids at my drama camps from HS werent ripped and hot they were chunky , awkard , goth and diffrent anybody in theater arts should understand that! I would go see it if theres at least one real person! Other wise *beep* it I'll wait until it airs on LOGO!

Why would you pay to see in a movie what you can see for free in real life? I want hot people in movies and on tv. If I want to see fat and fugly, I'll go to WalMart. There is nothing wrong with hot people being in fluff movies or fluff tv shows.

Logo butchered Eating Out 3, i can't even watch it on there. Why would you want to see the new movie on a channel that cuts out all of the good parts? ABC Family edits movies less.

Fate is what you call it when you don't know the name of the person screwing you over.

reply

Man oh man I agree with that. If Logo is going to go that far then they shouldn't bother at all. Let the premium cable channels handle it.

Logo can stick with original programming such as RuPaul's shows, The A-List and 1 Girl, 5 Gays because they are ruining and butchering the feature films.

I have caught some shot films there though that I probably wouldn't have seen otherwise.

I appreciated this time around a little more diversity. There was a black character and a transgender character. It's a a start I guess.

I think maybe your point may have been that it's a shame that gay people are just as discriminatory as their oppressors in many cases. But you can't look to movies for any kind of validation. That's not their forte.

Really--if they had fat or skinny ugly guys who would watch the movie? I have no problem with any of the guys in the cast.

And I never watch films on Logo anymore. Seriously--they're so cut it's pointless. However I can't see Showtime or Encore even touching these movies (remember--they're unrated meaning NC-17). Only way to see them uncut is buy them.

What a crock of $hit. For every bad gay comedy like these there are plenty of better acted/made gay dramas. These movies are basically the cheap gay version of American Pie. Gay people have their sex crazed horn dogs just like straights do. Stop slut shaming.

The OP never mentioned the word ugly yet the responses associate fat and old with unattractiveness. Many Americans see Southern California as a vapid, shallow place but they have no idea how truly superficial a community can be until they meet the open minded liberal minds of West "WEHO" Hollywood, where anyone over 25 is considered an old troll, where anyone a few pounds over underweight is fat, a city where anorexia/bulimia and crystal meth is a welcome alternative to being "unattractive".

reply

You guys have obviously never been to west hollywood-youre just parroting stereotypes. Hit the gym if youre insecure with your weight! or try Silverlake-that's only a couple miles from West Hollywood with chubby bears galore!

reply

I lived in West Hollywood for several years.

reply

Then methinks your attitude is why you didn't make friends. Weho has all shades and - just like any city- its share of wonderful cool people. Remember, you attract what you send out :)

reply

And no one does meth anymore. You live here in the 90s?

reply

Allow me to clarify my original thought: WEHO is a great city. Every city has its good and its bad. What I was trying to point out is the superficiality, the shallowness that exists in our culture and society as a whole. Many people are good at only seeing the physical beauty in life, the surface. But when we look deeper, there is beauty is everywhere. Also, I am happy to hear that meth is purely a straight problem now, because from what I see, this particular drug is still a major part of drug addiction in America.

reply

Thanks for clarifying. I agree with everything you said. Of course some meth still exists in gay culture, but it seems to be less prevalent than ten years ago. I think as gays assimilate more into society, there is less self hate and self loathing so drug use lessens.

News Flash: Almost all Hollywood movies do that, whether they are gay-themed or mainstream movies. If you want to sell tickets to your movie, you load them up with eye candy. That's been the Hollywood rule for almost 100 years now.
