Unsure

I have a borderling inappropriate question. In the live action parts at the end of the show, is the skinny person a man or a woman? I know it is horrible to ask, but I honestly can't tell.
Is that person just a homely guy or a very unattractive woman?

reply

they're both guys - Sharky and Bones. The skinny one is Sharky and the other one is Bones.

If you look at the video 'Roll Up the Map' which you can find on Youtube, it'll tell you their names.

how i know this is that all 3 of my nephews (ages 5 (twins) and 3) LOVE jake & the neverland pirates. i started watching it and found it cute.

if you have any questions for me, let me know!

I think you may have that backwards. I believe Sharkey is the bigger guy, and Bones is a skinny one.

reply

Loren Hoskins is the shorter, bigger one. He's listed as Sharky, meaning the tall, skinny one is Bones. Plus, Jeff Bennett is credited as the speaking voice of Bones.

The skinny one is names Loren hoskins. They were a Portland area band that was hired to do the show.

@ aragorn546:
Oo0ps! ... You have it backwards; Loren Hoskins, who portrays Sharky, is the shorter, fuller one. Kevin Hendrickson, who portrays Bones, is the taller or the pair and he appears to be more lean than Loren Hoskins / Sharky.
You might want to re-read the Oregon Live article that you referenced in your commentary. The article makes it clear who is who, and if you look right here in IMDB you can see that Loren Hoskins is credited as Sharky.
Additionally, you can find more about each or both of these men by conducting internet searches and reading about them and their work before joining Disney.
Kevin Hendrickson (Bones)apparently has a Facebook account and his photo is attached to his name ... looks just like Bones (because he portrays Bones).
Typically, the nick-name 'Bones' refers to a thin person, and skeletons (bones) are often associated with pirates; it seems that naming the character Bones was a play on words ... bones because the character is thin, bones because of pirates' association with skeletons and skulls & cross-bones.

It is not inappropriate to ask that question.

Silly. But not inappropriate.
