So I might be looking too deeply into this but...

Like, whats the deal with collecting gold coins? Every episodes they get these coins. They make a point to show them grabbing the coins and count how many they have at the end to put into their chest. But like...what do they do with the coins? Do they ever have an episode where they...buy stuff? They put such an importance on collecting these gold coins that you'd think they were going to buy something with it. But no, they just keep chucking them in the pile. What are they doing with all that money? Are they saving for pirate college? A costly operation for the fat kid's mom's heart problems? We never are told. So why do we care about these coins if they hold no shown value? If you can't buy the Ferrari version of a pirate ship with all that loot, then whats the point. But lets say they are saving this money for spring break in Hong Kong or whatever, and all these coins do hold value of some sort, then that brings a whole new line of questions. Mainly, how does the economy work in a universe where you are magically paid for doing good deads? Like, if you're buying a pack of smokes at the gas station, and you were two coins short, could you help an old lady across the street in which then you would be rewarded with floating coins to get your nicotine fix? Everyone would be helping each other until theres no help left. Their Apocalypse is an utopia. Why am I talking about a kids show? Is this real life?

It's for the kids to count along with them. Really it's pretty simple.
