The makeup this season...

What the H-E-double-hockeysticks happened to the makeup this season???!? Everybody looks like they got spray painted with pumpkin orange!!! And their lips all look blue like they're having heart problems or are suffering from a lack of oxygen, or something. Except for the ones who are smeared up with harsh, clashing, totally unbecoming shades of lipstick. And everything makeup related pretty much looks just plain horrible to the point of totally distracting the viewer from the plot. And the hair, particularly on Zoe and Lemon...! Shapeless, whispy, dry, occasionally almost greasy looking at the base... OY!

Fortunately, the wardrobes are in direct contrast to the dire and depressing makeup situation. The costumes are mostly super cute and yummy this season. Except for Zoe's pregnancy muumuus (sp?), which were meant to hide her girth, but only ended up emphasizing it.

I think the makeup "artist" for this season needs to either go back to makeup school, or find another career altogether.

Yesss! I remember watching a scene of A.B. at the butter stick and her makeup was sooo orange looking, definitely didn't blend in with her neck. Maybe they are just trying to make them look super tan because it's in the summer(I think). And Zoe's just looked messy most of the time. I just hate to judge because I'm no m.u.a. myself Lol.

I've just finished watching the final series and that's exactly what I was thinking ... Zoe is so tanned that she looks like she's changed her ethnicity. Everyone is so orange that at first I tried adjusting the contrast on my tv until I realised that was their actual colour..... and don't even get me started on the blue lipstick ...

The S4 makeup has been discussed in multiple threads on this board. There's even one with an argument going back and forth over whether it's a makeup issue or a lighting issue.

I certainly don't know enough about camera lighting or tv makeup to know what the problem was but there is a marked difference between how the actors looked S1-S3 and how they looked in S4 in terms of their makeup so something changed. It's unfortunate especially since it was the last season and it does sort of detract from what was otherwise a fun, mostly enjoyable final season.

I don't know what the hell happened and why they didn't fix it, but they all look awful! At one point I could even see the bronzer marks on George's neck! I also thought it was a lighting issue, since it's always supposed to be sunny, but they look extremely orange, even indoors! I don't remember what scene it was, but there was a part where 2 women were wearing short skirts, their legs looked a white, normal color, while their faces looked completely orange. That makeup artist seriously needs to turn in their brushes!

Yeah, I was mad at what they did to A.B. though it might be because I had a little crush on her.

I just finished the series and I agree. AnnaBeth was the worst, she's so pretty and they turned her into an Oompa Loompa for no apparent reason. Zoe was looking pretty orange at times too.

I did love the outfits though.

What the hell is a Stiles?
