Couples Throughout Fave and Least Fave

i do believe i agree with this list entirely!

one i didn't care a whole lot for was Lavon and Ruby.......

but Wade and Zoe were much more fun to watch, Zoe and George were to much alike--no fire..but seeing them in New Orleans was fun!

i did like AB with Lavon, better than Lemon and Lavon.

Brick and Shelby made me giggle the whole time too!!!

Tom and Wanda--PERFECT!! and the Proposal scene? PRICELESS!!

Tansy and George were fun to watch for me. they balanced each other and seemed to have real chemistry.


i did like George and AB together, but i didn't get to see enough of those two, which is kinda sad....LOL

I agree with you on some of these but on others we have pretty different opinions. My list would go something like this:

1) Zoe and Wade
2) Tom and Wanda
3) Lavon and Annabeth

After those 3 there is a big drop off to the rest. This list is more fluid than the top 3:

4) Lemon and George
5) Annabeth and George
6) Zoe and Joel
7) Zoe and George
8) Lemon and Lavon
9) Tansy and George
10) Brick and Shelby (I liked Brick better with George's aunt, I can't remember her name but he dated her early in season 2)

There are some other couples who I never really liked at all but I don't know how to rank them so I'll just lump them all in together as couples I really didn't like:

Lavon and Ruby, Wade and Vivian, Tansy and Scooter, George and Lynly

There's a bit of a theme with my list I see, I didn't really care for anyone the writers put George with. In some cases that was at least partly about not liking the other half of the couple (Tansy and Lynly). With Zoe it was more about liking her more with Wade than not liking her with George. In a world without Wade and Zoe I think George and Zoe could have been cute. As for AB, at first I hated that paring but I think if we had been able to see them together for longer they might have grown on me. Not liking them was more about it feeling too contrived and about AB getting another one of Lemon's cast offs than actually not liking AB and George when they were together.

I sort of feel the same way about Lemon actually. I didn't really like her with George because her personality was too grating, but I was never a fan of her and Lavon either. There's a part of me that thinks she and George might have worked the second time around now that they have both matured some and been with other people. That was never going to happen though because the EP loved Lavon and Lemon so she was always going to have them end up together.

I'll add in my own, not canon couple

8. Zoe/George-- I could at least understand their attraction to each other. they were really similar people and they could have worked long term, coming off of big life-changing moments at the same time. But the actors just never, ever had the right chemistry, unfortunately.
9. Lemon/Lavon --I still don't get it. What does Lavon see in Lemon? She's insane. What does Lemon even remotely love about Lavon? They're two completely different people, in a bad way, and they just don't work with each other. Lemon would have to change herself entirely to fit into Lavon's world...he's such a normal, down-to-earth and easygoing guy. AB was perfect for him tbh. Lemon, on the other hand....no.

I was Zoe/Wade and Lemon/George fan all the way.

I kind of like Brick and Shelby. Not sure why maybe becaus she softened up Brick a bit.

I didn't care at all for Lavon and Lemon either. If they had gotten the chance to be develop onscreen then maybe but it always felt like a case of telling us instead of showing us. We know they had an affair when George was in NY and Lemon was jealous of any relationship he was in but we hardly ever saw them as anything more.

I'm sad that George and AB had to be rushed because of the show ending because I could have really gotten behind them and I was very surprised by it.
