Did Nader finally pay blood money in the end? who broke the windshield?
I think Hojjat dropped charges without being paid the blood money but can someone confirm? Also who broke the windshield of Nader's car?
shareI think Hojjat broke the windshield. He left the apartment long before they did. I believe he knew that they were 'off the hook', so to speak, since he learned what really happened. But he still wanted them to pay for something.
Hodjat losing the plot, hits Razieh and storms out of his home. Nader withholds the money, because Razieh wouldn't swear an oath on the Qur'an. I think it's very safe to assume Hodjat took his frustrations out on the windscreen.
shareHe wanted them to pay for this debts to the lenders because now he was out of a job and couldn't pay them himself. But notice that if he had so many debts to pay it could mean he was already being irresponsible while he still had a job, taking more than he could afford.
Like many other people in real-life he is unable to assume his own faults. He will sue, disrespect, scream, harass a girl's school and anything else it takes for him to find someone to blame because he cannot be enough of a man to blame himself or to shake off his depression and find another job. (Yes, I know depression can't be shaken off easy like that)
Isn't he partially responsible for the miscarriage too since it was only because he was out of a job that his wife had to look for low-paying work far away from their home?
