Unpleasant facts about Anheuser Busch

In 1998 it opposed legislation in Missouri that would have lowered the state's blood alcohol limit to .08 from .10.

In 1999 it joined the NRA in an unsuccessful campaign to pass Prop B, the "Conceal Carry" bill that would have allowed concealed handguns to be taken into establishments that sell alcohol, including bars and casinos.

Anheuser Bush also runs family theme parks in order to "showcase our products" to kids, among others.

And they make crappy beer, too...

What's wrong with any of that?

1. It's too high anyway. Too many DUI's issued for people that aren't intoxicated.

2. Nothing wrong with that at all. If a criminal comes into a bar I would hope that someone with a gun can take him down. Too many "gun-free" zones in the world, it's an open invitation to violence.

3. Why do you consider beer not to be family-friendly? In most of Europe kids drink at a very young age, beer brings people together. The Bible belt has give alcohol such a bad reputation. Go to Germany, France, etc. It's a common drink enjoyed by everyone. There have never been any murders or mass shootings at Oktoberfest.

Stop being a prude. It's people like you that ruin it for everyone else.
