Magic City Movie?

I read about a year ago that Mitch Glazer was going to do a Magic City movie, anyone hear anything about it?

I've been wondering that since I finished the show a month ago!
I'd love to see someone else pick up the show, maybe Netflix?
I'm not so sure about a film, it feels like it would lack a lot of depth... it's like a book to film, a lot of essentials and nuance would be cut out just to make it run smoothly and under 2-2 1/2 hours... not to mention you'd have to make it accessible to an unfamiliar audience while telling a continuing story to the fanbase it already had!

I'd much rather see this show picked up and continued as a series, but it's been a couple of years and I don't know how much interest is even left in the project! But I'm holding out hope for a continuation... in 2015 it seems like it's easier than ever for a fallen show to come back from the dead!

Unless this is a joke (Bruce Willis, Bill Murray?), then it looks to be real and true: http://deadline.com/2014/10/magic-city-bruce-willis-bill-murray-1201268764/

It has financing and should be shooting some time this year. Here is a great interview with Kelly Lynch with some details.

Not so sure they should make a movie... perhaps they should of left it as is. Without us knowing everyone's fate and leave it to our interpretation. Though I don't think the show ever should of been cancelled in the first place though. That channel always seems to cancel shows too soon...
