why are the Americans making a film about uk royalty

I noticed the newpaper that the usa are doing a film about William and Kate why are they doing it, I mean making it in the usa there is a difference it will look odd filming it in America I know that the uk are showing a film about William and kate the night before the wedding. but it maddens me when the American film producers stick their nose in and make a film about the royal family they wouldn't like it if the uk did a film about their presidents. the one playing prince william looks nothing like and I don't suppose he can put a posh accent on either.. at least the uk gets it name mentioned as a part production.. and some of the actors are British lets home the usa do not spice things up or make things up next they will do a film about prince Harry

They always do stuff like this. They're always doing movies about the UK royal family - how many Henry VIII movies are there now? The only thing that can be counted upon is that the americans will always collosally screw up films based on history of the UK. Even France can complain of them...did you see the travesty that was the Marie Antoinette movie?? The actors were speaking in american accents at a time when american accents didn't exist!

Just wait until the BBC does one about William and Kate, that'll be worth watching!

Hmm, funny just like how you see English actors potraying Italians,Spaniards,French,Greeks,etc. Like Three Musketeers, why is it that mostly English actors are playing as the French? Or why is that English actors playing as Americans? Also I didnt hear many English people complaining when an American director made the Harry Potter movie and the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

Actually, if the actor did a great job, I really wouldn't mind.

Anyway, I completely understand why this bothers you, but I just wanted to point that out.

I'm English and I don't give a *beep* about the royal family. They can all *beep* off back to the Tudor times when they were actually cool. Now they are just a bunch of posh toffs who cant believe how easy they get it. I seriously doubt the yanks care anymore than me.

Americans are fascinated with the news about the royal family because we don't have our own and william and kate are the closest thing we have.

I am trying to watch August Rush right now and the stupid station displays an ad constantly for William and Kate, telling me how many minutes to go until the show. I just wanted to say this is really #$%^&* annoying!! Who cares??

In regards to the OP, another LOLOLOL!!!! Do you really think there's some ownership, entitlement or privilege for you and you only - that no American (let alone any other country) can make a movie about a royal wedding? LOLOLOL again!!! How stupid can you be?

Nobody in the states even mentions this wedding to me at all, and I'm in the thick of the news every single day. Any American interested in watching this movie or an historic royal wedding will surely stay up all night or set their alarms at the buttcrack of dawn to do so. I might. Who are YOU to question it? No one, that's who. Absolutely no one, who has any say in what American's can and cannot do. You never have, and you never will. This pisses you off I see, but don't worry. I hear George Orwell's 1984 is making a comeback. You can play Big Brother all you want then, but I suggest you grow up NOW.

I don't think they will do a film on Prince Harry. His quote from the movie is, "I'm not the heir, I'm the spare." lol... but Lifetime is hitting pretty low these days.
