I really liked The Hamiltons...

...but this didn't do much for me.

I mean the first one had an actual arc and character development and with this one it just felt like there wasn't much of a storyline. It just felt rushed.

I also wasn't crazy about how little The Hamiltons (outside of Francis) were featured. I was hoping for something more akin to The Devil's Rejects with the family on the run.

It's a shame as I really think there was a lot of potential given the bigger budget they obviously had.

Agreed. "The Hamiltons" creeped up on me with something slightly different, original and surprising. This, sadly had none of that to it. It indeed felt rushed, with actual little interesting story.

Agreed. The Hamiltons was decent and done better, with more interesting premise and characters. The sequel is trash.
