The 20 additional missing children...and the barn.

So how many barns can there be in England? And how is it possible that no one can recall seeing Fred or Rose and a car near a barn? 20 kids are killed in a barn and those two are that savvy could dispose of bodies without a trace? It makes me wonder how they could be portrayed as mentally lacking when they outsmarted the entire system of justice.

You ask: "So how many barns can there be in England?"

Seriously? Have you any idea how large England is? There is more than London to it, you know.

it's not worth the forensics time to track their whereabouts and cross checking where they were at a given time to when 20 (I'm not talking about 1 child but 20)

btw yes, I have been to England, AND by comparison it is a fraction of the size of the USA so yeah given the small size of England, wouldn't their equivalent of FBI cross check from Fred's interviews possibly where he could have killed 20 children. It make take years to search but isn't worth it for closure?

There seems to be three options regarding the barn if the allegations are true. (1) 20 + murders occurred on the property of an innocent farmer in a working building of which he was completely unaware (2) the farmer was complicit (3) the barn was disused.

(1) does no strike me as likely. It would seem an extremely risky course of action.

That leaves (2) and (3). If (2) then no farmer would allow the police to inspect their property if there was potential evidence on site. If (3) then there must be a very good chance the structure has been removed, or reused, and if so there is no reason to think the police would even be aware of the barn's existence (there isn't a barn register or licence system!) so would not locate it. Moreover any farmer while sympathetic with the aims is not likely to allow a search and the potential disruption and unwelcome publicity that might bring for the vanishingly small chance that there may be some crucial evidence. Unless you paid him for his trouble in which case with the tens of thousands of barns we are talking a very very serious amount of money....

I see your point when you break it down...but it boggles the mind to accept if it were true, women and children of england were at the mercy of Rose and Fred.

Even the most cynical humans are predisposed towards trust (we still use banks and the postal service, for instance!) and this provides a supply of potential victims for the likes of the Wests. No one imagines that the person they are speaking to or dealing with would be prepared to breach their trust in such a gross way - and thus we are vulnerable. But of course without this predisposition society could not exist.

When I heard this being mentioned in the story, I didn't accept it as true. (I don't know very much about this particular case, however.)

The fact is, there just aren't that many satanic cults out there were groups of members band together to kill children. There are sometimes wild alligations about something like this going on, somewhere, but I don't think they've uncovered very many cases in which it was ever proven to be fact.

<< So how many barns can there be in England? >>

I think there are 6 ? ?

: )

I assumed he told her that particular story just to gain sympathy of some sorts.

reply

Those so called satanic cults have nothing to do with Satanism, they are just christian raised individuals who think they are satanists which is far from the truth if you know about the Church of Satan
