Why was she so upset over his death?

I don' t understand how she could be so upset that he committed suicide. Was it a form of Stockholm Syndrome or was she upset that she was used and manipulated by him? Or that she thought she hurt the case and the court wouldn't be able to convict Rose?

She just knew him quite well. Detective Pat Kennedy, who spent a ton of time with Jeffrey Dahmer after he was arrested, was very upset when he was murdered in prison.

It's just that when you get you get to know someone very well it will probably upset you regardless of how *beep* the person was.
