This is 6th highest rated show on IMDB...what the hell?

This show sounds like a stupid soap opera...so who the hell are these 28,000 people who voted it as 6th best show according to IMDB users?

It is not a soap,
it is comedy, anybody should watch it.

arrested development, married with children and this one.

It's a comedy show, not a soap. And is there a rule somewhere that says only western tv shows can be on the top list? Can't a great show come out from somewhere else, such as Turkey? Why some of you get a sudden urge to get it removed from the list? Why does it upset anybody really?

Now I've never watched the show but heard lots of praise for it.

i watch nearly all western tv shows on net.i never watch turkish shows or anything made here. i think turkey tv shows r worst in world.
but this is the only local show after years i watch. not good as westerns may be but its the closest one if u cant speak turkish. if u speak turkish its better then many western shows.

I'm a Turkish people. of course ı know this serie. if you want ı can give information about it.

this serie is about a legendry story. Come from Arabic Culture and Literature before the Islam. Leyla ile Mecnun is a famous story in eastern culture (Turkish, Arabic and Persian). So this character's names use with lovely means. For example, a man who love too much is calls 'Mecnun'. He become a 'Mecnun'! So Mecnun is meaning 'crazy' in Arabic language. And 'Leyla' is a name for women who love too much! İn expression; 'Become Leyla' or 'Become Mecnun'...

But this serie is not about a basic love story. It is a comedy show; absurd comedy! And it has too much fantastic item. Actings are really wonderfull. Scenario and direction are very good. ı'm a good film viewer ı think, and ı can say this with no hesitate; Leyla ile Mecnun is qualify for become a world show! Absouloutly it is best tv serie in Turkey ever. ı watch it every week with a great enjoyable.

I suggest it seriously to you, ıf you can watch!

Exactly what I was going to say

This is obviously some random bad show looking for attention and it botted its way up to top, it just appeared out of nowhere and it's obvious in many ways this is not a legit rating, the fact that imdb staff didnt do something about this surprises me.

It's not something like that. This show is really good. If you give a try, you'll understand me. We didn't see any series before Leyla ile mecnun that make us feel sad and happy at the same time. That's why it's so special for Turkish people.
