Why do people love this show so much?

So overrated, just a terrible television series. Little to no plot, atrocious songs, horribly autotuned voices, amazingly bad acting, and unlikable characters with no personality outside of being a douche (Austin), shy (Ally), lazy (Trish), or idiotic (Dez).

reply

I think you are just a hater.
This is great show with great acting and music.

reply

"Great acting" Never in my life have I laughed so hard at such a comment. Also, the music is great? I didn't know awful voices and obvious autotune added up to great music.

reply

Aha wow! The fact that you're STILL on this board talking *beep* about the show is just laughable. Maybe its time to find a life? 😀

reply

Typical response from an Austin & Ally fan, though I wouldn't expect any less. I posted this weeks ago, so your "still on this board" crap is irrelevant. Also, newsflash: This is a message board, not a fan club. People can post their criticisms of a show/movie/video game/celebrity all they want. Get a grip.

I'm not really a fan of this show at all either, but it takes a special kind of *beep* to go on to a message board of a show they don't even like for no other reason than to tell its fans how much they dislike it and insult them for liking it. Just don't come here. It's that easy.

Tons of people on this website do it, not just me. Also, I'll say it again. This is a message board, not a fan club. People can post whatever criticisms they want on this website.

says de person who gets mad at every1 who trashes hannah montana.

If you Americans had seen What's Up Warthogs! (Family Channel), you'd see standard kids fare in comedy would be quite similar in terms of acting ensemble, writing. Only because Canadian media are cheapskates who cancel a show after 2 shortened seasons once they've reached their Cancon requirements. Dez was TOTALLY ripped off of Warthogs Charlie character. Ally is alot like the Victoria character.

For me, it had a light as air, silly, innocuous quality reminiscent of an airbrushed, hopelessly upbeat, sugary Disney Channel style type confection used for ages.

The leads were a pleasantly assembled quad of the pretty, the swoonable, the geeky and the brassy real girl archetypes they went for.
The boys, imho, stole the show. Calum Worthy, in a role that could have easily
grated, instead turned it likable with heady, upbeat zany manic energy. Plus, I loved his off kilter wardrobe. The wardrobe dept. must have had great fun putting together the show's fun, exuberant threads.

Ross Lynch seemed to be the major force powering this series, recalling teen dreams of yore. No doubt launching thousands of pubescent longings amongst their target audiences, plus other subsets. The pure, innocent, dense if
sweet boy of fantasy who can even sing. Swoonable. Again kudos to the wardrobe dept. who clothed Lynch & the others

reply

Did you just say Ross Lynch can sing? 

reply

you're acting like this show had a favorable amount of viewers and that it's universally praised. in fact, there's very little to differentiate austin & ally from every single disney channel show. and yes, that means even hannah montana.
