One of the dumbest shows I've ever seen.

This show is so stupid, I can't believe how anyone can think this is remotely good. First off, I love gangster and crime movies with a passion. That being said, this show almost makes a mockery of dealers and real gangsters.

Come on, a freaking yuppie nurse decides to grow a weed farm and just somehow meets some Chinese man who set this all up for her!? What a crock of *beep* THEN, she gets her friends son to help her sell it? The hell?

Within 4 episodes, a petty hustler kills one of the top dealers around, gets robbed twice; by the same people, has one of the most stupid friends who could mess up any operation, gets 12 year olds to hustle for him, kills like 10 people who didn't really do much (well not really him, but he was involved,) his friend kills someone because "he didn't know that would happen,"... JESUS, THEN, the little kid with the weed; who's friend was killed because his moms friend got him involved with her bogus weed farm the Chinese man set up for her... THEN GIVES HER THE MONEY!? What in the freaking hell is wrong with anyone thinking this is any good? This is the most fake, most unrealistic, most pitiful attempt at a series possibly ever.

How is this even compared to The Wire? That's what I want to know. If there's a city with people this dumb, then that place needs to not exist.

You're obviously not from the UK, or you don't know what it's actually like here.
Firstly, she wasn't a nurse, she worked on the London Underground, and meeting usually Vietnamese growers, I can see how she got started, because it does happen. Tight nit "blocks" in London are basically industries. They send teams of "shotters" around the country and there are loads of them. They all talk exactly the same, "still" and I've found this to be the most accurate show of its kind on tv.

I was an addict for 10 years, and they absolutely nailed that side of it. Them using young kids to do their running for them etc is absolutely spot on.

As for the robberies, also bound to happen! Even in my town, the Lonfon gangs were robbing each other and stabbing each other up on a night.

You're either not from the uk, or you don't know anything about the life styles being portrayed on this show, because coming from somebody who lived in that world, it is spot on I'm afraid.

LOL! So are you speaking from your vast experience in gangster life? Or your great passion for watching fictional gangster and crime movies?

I don't trust people who don't like pets and I don't trust people who pets don't like.

The "nurse" was anything but a yuppie. That you'd assume that and be shocked that she might come into contact with an Asian person says it all. This was a very realistic portrayal of this kind of English estate.
