Rachel McAdams going nude?

Has there been any official word regarding just how 'passionate' these lesbian scenes are suppose to be in this movie?
I wonder if she will be going full frontal in this.
Even if she doesn't, probably still oscar nomination I'd say judging from the trailer. They do need to release a trailer that gives more information about the film though, because that teaser was clearly 100% aimed to let people know that there will be hot lesbian action, and thats IT.

reply

Yes, they just had a press release that McAdams is shot from behind, from the side and full frontal and Noomi is showing one nipple. As for Paul Anderson's character, he's going full monty.

reply

What kind of i..... someone has to be to ask such a question?

reply

Its what every guy who is going to bother seeing this wants to know.

:) no "immature";))

reply

You'd have to be a red blooded male who isn't homosexual.

There's not many of us around anymore, but we are still out there.

reply

Is Paul Anderson nude at all?

reply

I agree it is a totally valid question, let's be honest, for dudes we're watching this for ONE reason. or two. Naomi and Rachel together. It would be great if it's a good film but that's rather an afterthought

If i go crazy will you still call me Superman?

reply

No, it's not a valid question. How old are you? I saw your reply in another thread about the trailer. Can't you see anything behind "Rachel McAdams going nude"? And if that's the only thing you "dudes" are interested in I'd suggest you visit the adult department in some video store or download somethng in the lesbian soft porn genre. What's wrong with you guys? This is a dark thriller, get a grip. And it's Noomi, not Naomi.

reply

Stop being so damn judgemental, beja, what do you care if that's the only reason some people might want to see this film?

And BTW, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Saying things like "and if that's the only thing you "dudes" are interested in I'd suggest you visit the adult department in some video store or download somethng in the lesbian soft porn genre" is clearly missing the point. Obviously, its not the same thing watching a hot scene from some porn actress who has done it like a million times already than watching one from a beautiful high class celebrity such as Rachel McAdams, that's something that certainly doesn't happen quite often. Its an special event which anyone should have the right to celebrate which every way they feel is right.

reply

Oh please. And why do you care? If you knew me, judgemental is the last thing I am.
But what I am is that I'm so tired of these "dudes" who constantly are talking about lesbian scenes and that's the only reason for going to see a De Palma movie, it's like a tunnel vision, hence my response. Don't you ever get tired of things and reply because it's just frustrating? Everyone has of course the right to have their own opinion and so have I. This is a discussion board after all, so yes, I have a very clear idea what I'm talking about.

And if this is "an special event which anyone should have the right to celebrate which every way they feel is right" I'll suggest you do so but please don't lecture me or tell me who I am.

reply

"..please don't lecture me.."

sooo...its ok for you to lecture others?

reply

So, what you're say is, you like men with big butts?

"Oh, *beep*! I picked a cute one!" --Penguin, "Batman Returns"

reply

I care because Im one of those "dudes" who love lesbian scenes from mainstream cinema, so I kinda took it a bit personal.

Ok, so you probably aren't judgemental, and I see now as well that it wasn't the right word for me to use. What I actually wanted to say was how your original comment sounded quite condescending. I know now you were only releasing your frustration, but its still no excuse to address that way to someone who was merely expressing his/her very valid opinion.

And when I said that you clearly have no idea what you were talking about, I was only talking about this interests or joy some of us have for these kind of lesbian scenes. Seriously, if you did you wouldn't be "advising" us to go watch a porno instead.

reply

viva_la_verve, it is of course ok to like lesbians scenes from a mainstream movie but this was nothing personal to you since you haden't even posted in this thread before you replied to me. And if you look at my first post in this thread it was not condescending. I was actually trying to make a joke about McAdams nudity. But then it just escalated and it was then I posted what you thoguht sounded condescending but yes, I was releasing my frustrations because I truly believe this movie is about something else as you probably know. The exploitation of power bordering to abuse mentally, taking advantage of a position of dependence and much more. A really interesting storyline in the right hands. I hope De Palma will make something really good with a great plot and not only give us the experience of two women in some lesbian scenes. I know there wasn't one single intimate scene between Isabelle and Christine in the Corneau's movie and I hope there will be no overuse of it in De Palma's. That's what I want people to see, but hey, it's just my opinion.

I'm glad though that you don't see me as judgemental because really, I'm not. My post history would probably reveal that, not that you're interested of reading it, haha but anyway. And I'm truly glad you responded the way you did. You should of course go and watch the movie the way you want. I hope it lives up to your expectation. Well, I actually don't but you know what I mean.

reply

Yeah, I guess I was just being a bit over sensitive before (just like you I guess, lol. Don't worry, I really don't see you as judgemental (if I did, I guess I would actually be the judgemental).

Hope you enjoy the film, I guess I will either way. Even though Im not really a fan, I usually enjoy De Palma's style (I saw Dressed to Kill for the first time a couple of weeks ago and found myself loving it).

reply

Beja answered in a funny and intelligent way on the thread. This topic is typical for trolls, but it's strange that you want to argue over such thread...but well, it's obviously your matter.

reply

You do know that Rachel McAdams has been nude in a movie long before the The Time Traveler's Wife. Check out the movie called My Name is Tanino. In there Rachel is running around topless on a beach.

if you pause the trailer at 0.38 seconds the character in the mask looks to have pretty masculine shoulders and hands.

I'm checking out the movie tomorrow night at TIFF.
I'll let you how "passionate" it gets haha.

so I just got out of the premiere at TIFF.
If you are going to see this for nudity, you are going to be thoroughly disappointed. There is very little nudity, none of which is McAdams, and the lesbian scenes are very tame. I've definitely seen worse on Primetime Cable TV. In Canada, I could see this movie getting a standard 14A rating.

As for the movie itself, i enjoyed it, and as others said, played to De Palma's traditional style, with the last 30 minutes feeling very Hitchcock'y with all of the msuic and camera work.
Though, based on the several movies i've seen at TIFF, it wasn't a movie that did anything for me, or would be memorable (besides seeing McAdams in person. Such a sweetheart!).

Love scenes are extremely tame, more implied. Brief nudity for Noomi, nothing for McAdams. If you are really that into it, you get to see more of McAdams in TO THE WONDER.

reply

not even some sexy butt/lingerie shots, from McAdams? Erotic thriller? C'Mon! Verhoeven should made this.

Nudity in Malick movie? This is unusual.

reply

McAdams definitely shows lingerie, here's a pic of it:

no nude mean girls other than a nipple shot from the girl with the dragon tattoo girl. the rachel mcadams stuff was mostly implied other than a few girl kisses
