Theme of the movie?

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but there seems to be an underlying current of 'to know her is to love her'. Everyone who gets involved with Nathalie. Markus, Charles and Francois are obvious examples, but even Sophie seems to have an underlined romantic attraction to her.

She's very slim. Not advantageous for bearing children though.

For child-bearing, the secretary in the tight red skirt would be a better choice.

Well personally I thought the theme of the movie was more "nice guys don't always finish last", or that looks aren't everything (re Markus)/ beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

It was so refreshing to see this play out. If Hollywood had made this, Nathalie would've gone into the sunset with that cad Charles who had a wife at home.

Theme, love conquers all. Both were shadows living in a material world based on false conceptions/realities that never stop & always moves on with or without you. That sometimes the real prize is not in the shiny suave box but the plain and overlooked one
