Not likely to go to series?

I just read on a site (sorry, forgot to capture the URL) that this isn't considered likely to go to series.

Anyone heard why? I've been such a fan of Ronald D. Moore that it is hard for me to imagine this failing. So why not going to series?

This was far and away the potential show I was most looking forward to. I'm going to be really disappointed if it isn't allowed to move forward.

That's a shame, I'd been looking forward to this show since I heard about it.

They haven't announced yet that they are not doing it, but NBC did just announce a bunch of new series and this wasn't among them. Not a good sign, though it is still not impossible.

Another possibility would be to bump it over to SyFy, which is also owned by NBC Universal (or are they both now owned directly by Comcast? - not sure what their current corporate structure is).

I'm anxious and bummed. It seems like none of the pilots I most liked have been picked up. NBC has also not picked up WONDER WOMAN yet. I'll watch both if they go to series, but I'd take 17th PRECINCT over WONDER WOMAN.

Damn it!

Most of my shows are getting renewed, but few of the pilots I was most interested in are going to series.

I was hugely excited about next year, but not now that all the pilots are failing. Saw that LOCKE AND KEY didn't get greenlit either. This sucks.

I guess Ronald Moore focuses now on the new BSG series and the relight of THE WILD WILD WEST for CBS.

I am disappoint.

I'm hoping that Syfy or someone else picks it up!

I was worried NBC would do this. Lately, I've felt like NBC is looking to pack themselves with more ER type shows in an attempt to bring in more Emmy awards. I'm hoping this will get picked up on another network (SyFy).

I think the problem is that one of NBC's other shows is a very similar plot. Grimm I think? A lot of networks are going for the modern fairy tale combined with crime show next year. They all look kinda awful unfortunately but I trusted Moore's to be genuinely good. Oh well. I've been excited for him to create some new work. Caprica was great but unfortunately not successful (and also tied to the BSG mythology) and I have been waiting for him to do some more original stuff again. I was so excited when I heard he signed a contract to write a direct an original scifi trilogy for the Movies, but haven't heard anything since.

This show has been described as "Harry Potter" for adults, it would have been a success on that basis alone since that book/movie series is over, people were clucking for something to replace it.
