Can't watch anymore - Ashley has ruined it for me!

Ashley Judd's Funny or Die skit ruined any chance of me watching her on any movie or TV show again (including "Missing). She is the producer of "Missing" & in mid-season puts out a rant against Catholics and pro-lifers.

I was a loyal watcher of "Missing" and had seen all episodes or watched via Tivo.

The Funny or Die skit's anti-Catholic/pro-abortionist rant put a terrible taste in my mouth and I'm not even Catholic. Any actor who put's down a religions core beliefs is not worthy of my entertainment time. I guess Ashley Judd is so rich now that she doesn't care about her audience, network that she represents, or her fans anymore. Ashley Judd is a delegate for her state, so I guess politics trumps her acting career. It's a shame, but true.

Why do the Hollywood Elites ruin the entertainment value for the audience by putting their politics first? I watch TV and movies for fun, suspense, escape, not politics.

It sounds like you are the one who is putting politics before entertainment. You could still enjoy an actor's performance if you just focused on the entertainment and not the politics.

Or she cares about her beliefs and feels she has a right to express them, just as you have a right to not waste your entertainment time watching her.

I've always liked Ashley Judd's acting and didn't much care about her politics until I saw her Funny or Die video. The pro-abortion crowd elites will coo and awe over it I'm sure, but it's done in very poor taste.
The un-Godly left boycotts Rush Limbaugh but coddles Bill Maher for the EXACT same thing. The president's no better. He called up Rush's target and comforted her. Bristol Palin (and other Maher targets) are still waiting for the president to call.....
Video's like this are simply leftist hit pieces, and I as an American, who disagrees with baby killing will be boycotting Ashley Judd's work as well as the advertisers on her show "Missing".

Ashley's a braindead Liberal anyways. She chose, to use a Star Wars analogy, to 'embrace the dark side' of politics while her mother and sister have more common sense than her.

So "common sense" says the government telling women what they can and can't do with their own bodies is a good thing?

reply

Killing your unborn child is not your own body. That's another human being's body.

reply

What is your source for believing this to be true?

reply

Source for believing that a fetus is a developing human? Are you serious. Abortion limited to rape is common sense. Abortion used as birth control, sometimes over and over is not about rights over ones body, its reckless irresponsibility and wont turn out well for someone does this over the long stretch. Actors spewing out what they want, I belive they are still actors and are doing this as a spokesperson for someone rather their own opinions. Lets face it, actors are not the highest on the IQ scale for that.

reply

But I'm sure a dimwitted conservative like yourself is a fan of killing living human beings though? You love guns and starting wars that have killed millions of living and breathing human beings but NO WAY can a woman make a decision about the fetus living inside of her. People like you...what made you that way?

reply

I never understood that contradiction either - how conservatives always seem so vehement about protecting life that hasn't quite fully formed and yet so eager to extinguish life already here. Strange how almost all the pro-life people I come across are also pro-gun; many of them are really into hunting for sport too.

Excellent comment west182. As a non-American, am highly amused by the ludicrous statements that are spat from the mouths of right wingers. Of course now the nutters have found their messiah in Donald Trump - may as well be Donald Duck!

I can still watch movies starring actors whose religion/politics/whatever differs to mine. Pity the brain-dead person who posted this discussion point.

Uhm, I'm catholic and didn't see what's wrong with that skit. I don't get it, she disagree with Santorum and tell him to leave women who want to abort their babies alone. What does that got to do with religion other than that Santorum is a Christian?

I'm pro life, but I still think whatever it is women want to do with their body is up to them.

Racist Game = Pool. WHITE ball push COLORED balls back into holes. BLACK ball out = you win.

reply

Yeah, what are you talking about?? I saw it too and I didn't see anything putting down Catholics or religion. She was against Santorum and his idea of women's rights or lack thereof.

Maybe I missed it. Linda, could you please show me or transcribe the part where she mentions Catholics or puts down religion? Thanks.
