I enjoyed it

I thought it was entertaining, which at the end of the day is what a film is meant to be. There's a fair few mistakes with it being a film set in 1990 but ignore them and embrace what it is, a low budget film about a group of teenage lads who escape the problems of their lives by going to a legendary gig by Manchester band The Stone Roses.

It's has laughs, some sensitive moments and a great soundtrack. If you're around the age of 40 and from England there's lots you'll connect with. Take a look

I actually thought it was gonna be the real concert... so I was pretty *bummed*...

It's a pretty cheesy movie with way too many sub plots... but it was kind of cool to imagine that day and all...

I'd like to hear from someone who was there -- what did the movie get right and wrong? It was pretty cool that they had a little live footage... just wish there was much more...

And as I was watching the scene outside the fence with everyone singing along, I couldn't help but think that most of them weren't even born in 1990. Yeah I'm an old fart. And American so I didn't have much of a chance to see them. But I was a huge Roses/Mondays fan and we actually went on a school trip to the UK in summer 1990... so I was THAT close... We were in Glasgow right around when they played there in June... so that's as close as I ever got..

I was there, it was actually pretty bad, the sound was awful, fights and muggings completely ruined the day for much of the crowd - well those who were not buzzing on assists that is!  It was a depressing venue anyway, and it proved to be a depressing day out for anyone who wanted to see and hear the band in all their glory.

As for the film, the river sequences are true, there was some right fun and games there, and the scenes outside the fences are also true. I think there was 25,000 plus inside that day, and outside there was thousands more just dancing and trying to catch a live sound in the wind.
