How did Neil and Angela meet? How did they end up together?

reply

They said they met at the drunken monkey. When ang did her first spin off series, she said she and Neil had been married for 3(?) years but weren't living together. And then Neil wanted to move back in, which she wasn't really happy about.

reply

What was the nature of their problems together? Was he really as bad as it was made to seem on the show or was it just childish petty *beep* or was there deeper issues that she didn't want to talk about on air?

reply

I don't know. I got the impression that she liked having her freedom. And this season, she complained that he was working yet not giving her any money which is kind of weird.

reply

I think he was giving her money. But she was saying it wasn't near enough.

She had a sort of lavish lifestyle compared to an average person. Nice home and cars. Expensive taste in jewelry, clothes and shoes. Plus medical bills. Her bar was closed, and what he made working part time construction was enough to wipe her ass with and then buy a happy meal with whatever was left over.

He was doing two careers simultaneously so was working twenty hours a day. He was more level-headed than Big Ang and for a regular guy couldn't give her the lavish lifestyle she craved. She emasculated him to his face and behind his back on national television. If Big Ang wanted Neil to do everything for her then she should have taken on the "Boss" persona. She wanted to be the boss but to be one you have to pay for everything. She contradicted herself a lot because she really wanted Neil to pay for everything.

reply

Ah. I didn't realize he had 2 jobs. She made it seem like he never worked until she lost the pub and even then only worked a little bit.

I think he was not working.

reply

He was definitely working. He's a union guy. Ang treated him like dirt. Very mentally and emotionally abusive towards him. I don't see how anyone could make it like he was a bad guy or like she was justified in treating him the way she did. I'm surprised he stayed with her for so long.
I wouldn't have blamed him for leaving her or checking out of the marriage and not really wanting to be around her. She was just extremely nasty to him and anything he did wasn't good enough for her. How do you expect your man to bend over backwards for you when you abuse them?

reply

I'm not justifying Ang's treatment towards Neil because I liked him but sometimes people aren't always who we think they are.

You hear that? Hear that tone you're using? That's penis repellent right there!

reply

I'm thinking there has to be more to the story. She had so much anger towards him and I have a feeling it wasn't just because of work.
