Whatever happened to those notes Nick and Jess wrote about each other?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't there a time when Nick and Jess wrote a little note on how they feel about one another and then sealed it shut? I only saw the episode once and it was awhile back so I am trying to recall the details in my mind. For some reason I'm thinking it took place outside a restaurant. I've seen every episode and don't remember the writers ever alluding back to that storyline.

Does anyone know what I'm referring to? lol

The episode was "First Date" in S2. Not sure if the writers will bring that back, but it would be a nice touch once Nick/Jess get back together. They might just keep it unknown though and leave it up to the viewers' imagination.

I heard more fans are thinking the writers will call back to the coin Nick said he kept from the first night they kissed when Nick & Jess reunite.

Yeah, you're referring to the S2 episode- First Date. Nick takes Jess to an expensive restaurant and runs into Russell. He has them write down their feelings on notecards to determine how they really feel because Nick wouldn't admit to asking Jess out. He just asked her to meet him at an expensive place.

Russell reads the cards but says it isn't a good idea to reveal what they each wrote. They've never mentioned it again, as far as I know. Nick and Jess started dating seriously at the end of S2, so I guess the writers figured it didn't matter. But maybe they'll revisit it at the end of S6, since Jess isn't over him.
