Didn't even realize the new season premiered

Good to see some familiar faces are ponying up and continuing to watch. Hope you guys had a good summer.

I watched the second half of yesterdays episode, it was okay but Winston & Schmidt seemed to be the only funny ones.

If Ari Gold saw Chappie he would say:
"Chappie makes Elysium look like Citizen ƒvcking Kane"

Yep. Two episodes in so far.

Season premiere was good and second episode was okay. Third will premiere next Tuesday.

I think the season premiere was solid. Definitely a love letter to fans since they played more of the emotional beats than being full-on funny, but I think the show needs episodes like that every once in a while.

The second episode was very weak. Definitely agreed that Winston and Schmidt were the only funny ones on that episode and I really didn't like the conclusion of the A-story.

I think this show is currently on the bubble, in danger of cancellation. Might be the last season. I'll still watch if there is an S7, but I'm not sure where else they can take the show, unless they do something really crazy and off the wall like a whole season of Pepperwood or something like that and completely revamp the show from scratch.

I love the show, but I think it's in a good place to wrap everything up. I hope all the actors land in good places after the show is over.

Totally agree with this.

I love the show. People complain about it here and there but I don't think it's bad... Yet. It's in danger of feeling repetitive though. I think season six is the perfect time to wrap things up. Cece and Schmidt are married. Ally is perfect for Winston. They all have steady jobs... Even Nick is doing well. I'd really like to see the Nick/Jess storyline wrapped up, then I'd be good.

The last episode definitely felt like filler IMO, and I'm worried S7 would feel like a bunch of those.

I don't think they have any plans to end the show just yet, so to wrap it up this season would likely feel rushed. Maybe one more season, 8 seasons is a nice lifespan, where they announce before the season starts that it will be the last season. Sure theres a chance it could get cancelled after this season, but FOX doesn't really have much other options. They are struggling hard with their 30 minute comedy sitcoms. They can barely fill a whole night's schedule with New Girl and Brooklyn Nine Nine being the only ones that don't get cancelled.

It kind of feels like the show is treading water in some places though. People don't seem that enthused by this season...this week has been particularly quiet in online discussions so I feel like it's either going to wrap up this season or next season.

What did you think of the latest episode with the Jess/Robby development? That kind of felt like a rehash of Jess/Paul Genzlinger in S1. Not sure about that, although I really do like Robby.
