Planning to get the DVD, even though it appears they used the same mixed up numbering system for the episodes as they did when airing it?

Seemed odd. I mean how hard would it be to put them in the right order? Oh well.

My question is for those who've seen the DVD--are there any good extras on it? Or it is just average stuff? (Like everything we saw online on the ABC web site when it was airing...?)

Thanks.

I don't know what was on the ABC website, but the box says"

Becoming a Pan Am Stewardess
The Berlin Set
The Life of a Stewardess
The Plane Set
Interview with Former Pan Am Stewardess & Executive Producer Nancy Hult Ganis

One Amazon listing says "no special features" for some reason. Would be nice if it had some cast involvement or at least one episode commentary.

Guess you can go to Wikipedia or something and watch the episodes in order. That was annoying when I was watching the show.

reply

Amazon has been pissing me off lately. Every other release Has "None" listed as Special Features. I don't know if it's them not bothering to enter the info on the website, or the film studios not forwarding the info.

I'd like to see "the plane set" and "Berlin set", but netflix no longer carries bonus discs on new releases.

reply

Well, 'Romance Languages' is in the right spot as #7 even though it aired much later. Unfortunately Disc 1 is messed up: The episodes ordered 1-2-3-4 are actually in this order 1-4-3-2. The extras are only what was found on the website during it's run.

Just looked on amazon they have it in dvd and blu yay and hd. Click on tv and movies and type in pan am

reply

Might want to avoid bluray for this . The CG on the airliners was horrible.

reply

The show was never actually released on blu-ray disc. That's just a placeholder on the Amazon listing.

And I think that's kind of bogus, since the show was broadcast in HD and it's available in streaming format in HD.
