Makes zero sense that the person that asked someone to kill someone gets a longer term than the one that actually did the killing. You know since if he had pulled that trigger Mr. Smart wouldn't have died that night since she wouldn't have done it herself.

I mean you don't think if you were a guy who killed your lover's husband out of jealousy and then the police come to you and say, "if you confess to this and say that Pamela told you to do it you will get a reduced sentence" you wouldn't say, "hell yes she made me do it.
Cause that's what the police do, once they make up their mind on who has done what they offer plea deals. So i'm sure that's what happened. Hey give us Pam and we will help you out.

I don't understand this whole notion that Pam simply "asked someone to kill someone else." You make it sound like she sweetly said, "Hey Billy, would you mind running over to my house and killing Gregg this evening? Thanks a bunch!"
No, Pam was a school staff member in a position of authority, having sex with a 15 year old boy that she met in a SELF ESTEEM BUILDING class. After months of sex, she began telling Billy that Gregg abused her, then talked non-stop to him about how they could only be together if Gregg was killed. When Billy's first attempt at killing Gregg failed, Pam withheld sex and was furious with Billy.
That is textbook manipulation, and to make it sound as though Pam simply brought the idea up and a stupid teenager ran with it is completely misstating the facts. Again, if it were not for Pamela Smart, Gregg would not have been murdered. Certainly Billy would not have killed Gregg if it were not for Pam's manipulations. And if Billy had refused, I am quite certain she would have found someone else to manipulate into killing Gregg.
Boy, that sociopath really got this movie made for her sake. And all the money her parents and other tools put into this, it paid for this movie. She's still guilty as sin.
