Yes, she is guilty of having a affair with a 15 year old and manipulating those boys, but 24+ years in prison is a awful long time for not actually pulling the trigger. Enough time served, and let her out of prison. She's no threat to society.

Pam is intelligent and could do some good out of prison, but I do not think she will ever get out. She is in a hopeless situation. There are too many people (like the ones on this board) that think she should never get out and will do whatever they have to, to keep her locked up forever.
Yeah you are probably right (in that she will never get out). Some of the comments here indicate there are not enough progressive thinkers out there. Like I said - ok that two murderers will walk the streets, but not ok to let a non-violent, educated, potentially productive member of society free. Hard to figure.
ANd yes, once again we are in agreement re:Charles Manson. You cannot possibly compare him with Pamela. I have seen some of his interviews and he is completely bananas. No doubt a threat to society. Pamela Smart is in a totally different class of people.
My hope for her is that a sympathetic lawyer will watch this documentary and contact her and see what can be done about getting her out on parole. If she could get a work release program, meaning she could get out and work during the day, and then go back to prison at night. It would be better than nothing.
Even is she has to wear a ankle monitor.

ANd Blly didnt have a choice???? Forget about him being 16 years old. If a person had told you to kill someone when you were 16 - would you have done it??? Probably not. Yet Bill FLynn is on work release. Bill FLynn may get weekend furloughs. Bill Flynn will be a free man next year. Pamela Smart sits in jail night and day. DOesnt seem fair to me.
Pam didn't pull the trigger Billy did. Billy was gullible and would do anything you told him to. Yes, Pam was guilty of telling him to do it, but he was dumb enough to actually do it! He could of said no and walked away but he didn't!

You keep saying she is no threat to society. How do you know that??? Her case was especially cold and calculated, resulting in the murder of her husband of only one year, and in the destruction of four young lives in terms of the teenagers you admit she manipulated (not to mention sexually molested one of). And 24 years later she still can't admit she did it. That says to me that we have a classic narcissistic sociopath on our hands, and they are always unpredictable and never a good idea to have in any community. You make no valid argument that she is no longer a threat to society.
