Why just a 6.1 rating?

This is way underrated of a film, I mean how can you not enjoy this? Its well made, good music score, good writing, the acting is fine and its really funny. This shouldn't be rated under a 7 at all. Even critics gave this a better rating, go figure.

And also why would this get a 6.1 rating, when for example The Proposal has a 6.7 rating? Makes no logical sense really.

I agree this film has a very low rating for how enjoyable I found it to be. Granted, I've never seen the original but this has a very good cast (Kevin Hart and Regina Hall made the movie but Michael Ealy and Joy Bryant did a great job too), it's well made and it's pretty funny. There are a couple of questionable scenes (mainly some of Hart and Hall's sex scenes-the chicken mask and when they first become boyfriend/girlfriend is coming to mind but even though some of it was borderline ridiculous, it wasn't that bad and these two nailed every scene they were in) but imo this should be in the 6.5-7 range. I think the mix of realistic relationship drama and some of the exaggerated stuff made it a little uneven but not enough where I didn't like the movie. It was a moderate hit ($49 million worldwide-$46 million of that in the US) so maybe check back in a few years after more people have seen it, maybe the rating will raise up a bit.

This is the best movie Kevin Hart has starred in so far. I think people didn't give it a chance, this is at least a 6.5 movie, 6.1 is for a movie that was barely okay. I thin its over the black cast, people get bothered by a movie that isn't the standard almost all white cast.
