The 6.1 rating is a disgrace and highly off

People act like the 6.1 rating is right, a 6.1 isn't horrible, but it means it was just okay to watch and that you wouldn't watch again. The Proposal is rated 6.7, The Ugly Truth is rated 6.5, Step Up 6.5, Just Go With It 6.4, She's out of my League 6.4, Mr. and Mrs.Smith, Zach and Mari Make a Porno 6.7, Knight and Day 6.3, Music and Lyrics 6.5, 50 First Dates 6.8. Are we seriously gonna pretend that movies like that are much better? Here are some movies rated 6.1 or 6.2: 27 dresses, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30, Bed Time Stories, No Strings Attached, Just Friends.

I think the critics got this one right, Rotten Tomatoes have it 68%, Rotten Tomatoes gave The Wedding Singer a 67% and its rated 6.8 here. Can we really really say that The Wedding Singer is so much better? It should at least be rated 6.5.

The movie was terrible. I rated it a 1. It wasn't funny. It wasn't romantic. It wasn't sexy. IT wasn't unique.

Poor casting.

The first incarnation which I saw years ago was enjoyable. This one? Not at all.

This film is difficult for me to rate for one HUGE reason; the original.

About Last Night with Rob Lowe & Demi Moore is one of the best romantic dramadies of the 1980's. I love it. When I first heard about the remake I was ready to puke. There was no way a remake could live up to the original.

And I was right. The pace in the remake was too fast, there wasn't anytime to see them falling in love like the original. And the atmosphere and score wasn't as good. And some of the classic lines they reused just didn't sound sincere, like they were in the first one. Everything was too glossy and too on point, which took away from the charm of the original. I think if they had made the film as a stand alone original it might have done/been better.

When I rate movies a 5 = "Not bad, ok. Nothing really memorable. Probably wouldn't watch it again."

A 6 = "Not bad, ok. Has a few good parts, but I wouldn't really recommend it."

I gave this one a 6.

The only thing good about this film was Joan and Bernie. Deb was a boring bitch. She was a control freak. She wanted a dog, she got a dog, she wanted Danny to quit, she got Danny to quit. The New Year's party was her idea and she gets mad. Even the *beep* dining room table was her idea. Bitch was one of those quiet stuck-up control freaks. I dated a girl like that, her attitude was similar to Deb, quiet with the idc attitude but low-key she was a mind game vapid control freak.
