Curious if it's any good

It is. I posted a review last week but it's still being "approved" by IMDB and hasn't been posted yet.
Here it is anyway:

Rating: 10 out of 10

This film offers exactly what you would expect in terms of the occasional terrible performance, crow-barred profanity, and overly gratuitous nudity & lesbianism in place of dialog/character development. But it works. And here's why...

The bad acting is quickly overshadowed by some great performances by many young actors that kinda came out of left field for me as far as their ability. I was not expecting it. They impressed me. Most memorable was a scene where a woman is hiding from the killer while she's barely nude. Although her acting wasn't much more than average throughout, she really did a number on that one particular scene and made it stick in my head. Well done. The lead actress was a good choice for the role and did a great job. The other lead actresses were best during the kill
scenes, they made their characters believable. No cheese. Most noticeable was the dude who films his own porno, that guy made me like his character even though I hated his character at first. The masked killer was creepy and believable and great as his role taking it very seriously. I was afraid he would do the long-stride walks and the heavy breathing like Jason, mainly because of the "part 2" sack-look, but I was glad to see he moved non-Jason like. He was his own character with his own style while still at times briefly paying homage to both the hockey-masked killer and Leatherface.

Although the F word is used probably 17x more than Scarface it blends into the dialog with ease somehow. In the first 15min I found myself counting the words in between the next F bomb. Each time it would make an appearance before I got to my second hand. But I was quickly distracted by the incredible camera-work, art direction, and editing. This film is beautiful and you can't ignore it. Filmmakers could learn from this movie.

The boobs. There are plenty. And they don't take away from the film. In fact all the tattooed lesbian jugs are actually part of the plot. Is it super relevant to the film? Well... yes! So is all the drug use and prostitution. It wasn't just thrown in there and it's not so over the top that you wonder why not just watch a porno. It's actually very well done.

The film is reminiscent of those carried by Anchor Bay or Troma.

So why a 10 out of 10? Because this film delivered MUCH more than I expected. The filmmaker is an obvious talent and I can't wait to see his next project. I actually rated it a 9 because of some of the generic stock sound effects like the woman screaming (used in every horror trailer, also used in a Slayer song on the album God Hates Us All) and the hammer smashes to the head. I heard a very realistic squish but I should also hear bone crunch, the head hitting the floor, and the killer grunt. It wasn't enough to ruin the illusion though due to the great makeup and life-like gore effects. Ever see a puddle of blood? I have. It looks just like it does in this film.

The film jumped up a point back to 10 when I heard "Today Is The Day" during a kill scene. F yes!

Glad I stumbled upon this. I will recommend to any indie horror fan.

10/10 my ass

5.5/10 is closer to reality.

What world are you living in where this movie deserves 10/10? Probably the same world where McDonald's deserves "Healthiest Restaurant of the Year" award.

Definitely a fake review, which are very prevalent on the boards for indie horror like this. They're always the same: they use a generic username with some random letter and numbers, they've always joined in the last couple years (usually around the time the movie starts being made), they have NO other posts except the ONE praising whatever POS flick they're friend made, they don't ever come back, etc.

They think we won't notice, but it always obvious...

These fake reviews on this site are so obvious because the people go overboard in their praise. This movie is so crappy even a 7/10 review would make me raise my eyebrow in suspicion. But a 10/10? Really? What's more, the guy goes on to say while the acting was crappy, the actors did an amazing job of making their characters believable and realistic. How can you have crappy acting and good characterization at the same time?

In any case, I agree with you that these fake reviews are utterly ridiculous. Having your friends and family write fake positive reviews about your movie online won't make your movie profitable. Only making a movie so good people want to pay to see it is the best way to make a movie profitable.

Its a terrible film, and I love zero budget horrors like Gutterballs and Bone Sickness.
This is just badly put together garbage that manages to make its 70 minute running time feel laboured. That's an achievement right there.
