Everyone talks about how bad the final fight is, but the whole movie has terrible CGI - especially the backgrounds. The waterfall where T'Challa is first challenged for the crown is laughable, as is the big car chase. It looks like the effects they used in Sin City, except there it was SUPPOSED to look stylized and unrealistic. Here it's just video-game-level bad.
shareI heard the reason for that was because post production didn't have a whole lot of time to work on the CG before the movie was supposed to premiere and release so they couldn't polish it as much as they wanted.
I wouldn't say it's awful throughout the whole movie, just somewhere between mediocre and decent.
That was like the first thing I noticed and a huge distraction. The scene where he is helping the main chick in the beginning was where I first noticed how bad it was. I was like wow that looks awful. And it was just down hill from there, which I do not understand all the others had great CGI. I mean I don't live for great CGI but for a comic book movie its a must.
shareYou know, I didn't even realize the bad CGI till they were covering T'Challa with snow to revive him or whatever the hell that was. That snow looks SO SO SO bad. Never seen anything like that in a big budget movie.
