Why didn't Wakanda single-handedly prevent the slave trade with their Vibranium technology?

Because this silly and poorly constructed movie hides behind a pretense of seriousness that is evidently racist to criticize.

That ax in the movie in the museum says to me they didn't have the technology yet to stop it. No transportation in flying or driving. They just had strong metal to defend themselves.
