saw it and was bored.
GRANTED, I am NOT a superhero movie watcher - kinda enjoyed 2 or 3 in the last decade - but this barely delivered any interesting story. stuff happened, people fought, the end.

It wasn't BAD, per se, just didn't deliver as much action as I was expecting out of a super hero movie... and of course there is the generic, large, CGI fight scene ending that is mandatory in these types of shows... lots of fake stuff getting broken, and fake fighters getting tossed about.

Story just did nothing for me (a white guy) and am shocked it got such good reviews, and box office. Just felt mediocre.

Guess I can't trust anything about any movies anymore. Won't be going to too many theaters from here on out.

It WAS fun though, because I was the only person in the theater!

Why are you shocked? The movie wasn’t great for the action, it was great for the story. And as a white guy, the story and message just wasn’t for you. Everything doesn’t revolve around white men.

Never said it did. Just voicing my opinion. Only mentioned race because I didn't know if it played ANY part in my interest. Normally, it doesn't. I guess here it did? I thought it was just a movie, not a race statement.

It's a "Super hero" movie. Why wouldn't it have a lot of action?

What was so great about the story? From what I can remember it included a 16 year old who could invent...anything, flying saucers and tame rhinos that you ride into war!

The story sucked ass too. I don't even need action. I prefer dramas. I saw this after all the great reviews only to discover it was a bad film. The acting was on par, but that is not enough. The entire premise makes no sense at all, too.
Whoever wrote the comic book and script have no idea how an economy functions, even on the most rudimentary level.

If this is what passes as a "great story" today, no wonder most new films are awful.

Agreed. I LOVE the marvel movies but the last few havent rocked my clock (this, dr strange, thor rag, even infinity war, tho gotg2 was fun)

Is cameron right after all, am i fatigued? I think not, the recent films just havent been that great
