I am racist

Despite being racist.....this movie still looks terrible. It's pandering to the lowest form of quadruple-standard, box-ticking, liberal wet dream, can't-we-all-get-along, happy-meal tie-in, comic book nerd demographic.
Now given that I've mentioned the fact that I am racist (and make no bones about such) it's going to take genuine reasons for anyone to defend such garbage, *without* having the (well worn) 'Race Card' to fall back onto?

Please tell me why anyone would watch such rubbish (bearing in mind, that we've already established my racism)

reply

Have you seen it yet?

reply

They'll watch it for the same reason they watch "all" Marvel comicbook movies... It's almost pavlovian now... Well trained consumers of CGI spectacles... Add to that the serialised, soap opera nature of these "movies" and it's not surprising that people "tune in for the next episode"...

These are consumer products first and foremost... Girl power was a successful way to market Wonder Woman, so I suppose marketing executives think that Black pride might work as a boost for Black Panther, but it is just marketing... These are not movies, they never have been, they are comicbook properties used to sell product.

I can fully see sometime in the future a clever executive making a mens rights version of a superhero, but I don't think that segement is a big enough market yet... Even when that happens, it's just marketing, to sell toys to kids or manchildren... These aren't movies and never have been.

That’s right folks, listen to this superior being. I bow down to you, sir.

reply

You mock what you don't understand. That's alright. You're harmless.

reply

What don't I understand......racism or this movie (if that's not too much of an oxymoron?)
I realise this must be awfully hard for you to articulate your opinion (without the benefit of labelling me as a 'racist')
Because I'll bet your life, it's a card you would have pulled by now, if I hadn't beaten you to it?

So are you saýing 'racism' is (quote) "Alright" and "Harmless".......?

It's hard to tell what you're trying to say with that (sixtieth-hand) glib-retort.....quick, go copy-and-paste another.

My observation is that you neither understand Racism nor the movie. My observation is based on your not coupling your statements with any first hand or even anectdotal experience with either. You've never met anyone who has experienced racism, was harmed by racism (financially, physically, verbally, emotionally or culturally) or has suffered from the effects of racism in your rather storied experiences on this earth.

Racism has never visited you personally. Most of what you're pontificating on are your "Feels" or your "Thinks". You do so require that your "Feels" need to be validated though because you "Thinks" it is Racism.

Why would I watch the "Black Panther" movie? I bought the Fantastic Four comic in 1966 issue 52 just like I had purchased every preceding FF comic from 1-51 (and the annuals) and I thought the story was fascinating. From my alias you already understand my allegiance to Marvel and their print titles. SS is one of my favorite characters. Hasn't been done properly.

Marvel Disney is giving me personally a live action version of something that I read. I also read To Kill a Mockingbird and was delighted when I saw the movie. Same with the Godfather. Was it pandering when those were made into movies for audiences? What about The Caine Mutiny? Another favorite book of mine, and was it guess also pandered into a movie that I enjoyed?

reply

What a load of bollocks......You know nothing about me (or my experiences)
You don't even know what colour I actually am?
But thanks to the internet....Cluless do-gooders like you can copy-and-paste your pseudo-cod-psychology bullshit, and try to pass it off as a poor substitute for an opinion. That sort of shit might impress your 3 (likewise) SJW college buddies....but you're fooling no-one here amigo (not even yourself)
Stick to reading comics.....Cease (and desist) talking to adults.

reply

Dolemite, I shall explain my answer to you. With "you're harmless" I mean that you are harmless. I hope you understand it now. And aren't most words replications? Let's see what you will come up with next, you're quite amusing in your actions.

reply

Oh wow...the whole(quote) "You're quite amusing" comeback (next it'll be the hoary old chestnut of "Me and all my mates are laughing our asses off at you" compensatory bullshit)
You're neither amusing, nor original....you're just a nosey entitled fucking snowflake that thinks you're going to change the world (along with your other SJW chums)
Thank the lord that the internet affords you the anonimity of talking shit to strangers from the safety of your computer screen.....what on earth did you do before the internet? (allthough given your comebacks....I'd wager you weren't even fucking born)

reply

Most every thing I type is original to whomever I am typing it to. On a rare occasion I might use a quote but I will appropriately attribute the quote to the author.

As to you and your experiences? You tell me everything about you and your experiences in each and every one of your replies and posts.

reply

Everybody is racist, no exception. It's a biological feature.

Of course, you can try to be fair, you do your best and that's it. The problem nowadays is that people feel so guilty that they need to overcompensate.

reply

This is quite true. Everbody is racist based on the Natural biological need of either instinctual survival, breeding and/or both.

What allows us not to go straight out and murder people who don't share our skin color is Law and social construct.

reply

Yeah but it reaches a threshold where no matter what you do, you're going to get called racist, so then you lose any and all motivation to keep your prejudices in check. It's half the reason Trump won. People don't realize they're causing more damage that way than they're mending.

reply

Do you realize that Trump was talking mainly about Hispanic immigration? And people from Latin America are far closer genetically to the wasp american than blacks or asians. So how can it be racism?

reply

It can't be, but liberals don't think of it that way. He also talked a lot of smack about Muslims as a group and liberals instead heard "brown people". Because to them, if you're brown, then you're Muslim.

reply

Awww I watched American History X too. How cute... I bet you based your adolescent life on Fight Club. So precious.
