JAMES convinces SIMON that...


... they can pull off the "Pretending to be each other" plan because they're identical. I thought that no one had noticed that (except for HARRIS, but only because SIMON pointed it out for him). Are they seen as identical to the rest of the world or not?

I would assume that they are seen as identical by the rest of the world. It's just that Simon, being more average, and "unnoticeable" than James people don't really see that they are identical since Simon tends to fade into the background anyway. Simon and James being identical and no one noticing, except as you said Harris (and even that was after Simon had to point it out), further drives the point that Simon is invisible, or in Simon's own words "a ghost". No one really sees him, or cares for that matter
