So why did this fail in America?

I am watching this show on television here in Scandinavia and the acting, stories they aren't that bad. So why did it fail in America?

Great question. probably because it's not some crappy reality show about a celebrity that does nothing.

I think the reason the show failed is because it was too realistic in how it depicts a NYPD police officer.

I agree with that.

I loved NYC 22 also and have no clue why it failed here. It could have been because of the night it was on...wasn't it Sunday? I can't remember. I recorded it anyway and watched it later.

It failed because it's recycled material and completely unoriginal.

Also, the acting is not that great. If you're going to pull out old cliches, at least have good actors who can breathe new life into it.
