I can't say this is a copy of Rookie Blue---because who would copy one of the worst cop shows of all time?---but it is the same thing and only a little bit better. In the two whole episodes I saw, there was not one thing interesting. Not recommended.
Rookie Blue is ten times better then this trash. There are actually interesting story lines, the characters were likeable in the first episode, two into this and it all feels frigid and like no ones happy to be there. Even the production, lighting and overall look of Rookie Blue is better. Firebomb was unbelievably boring. So predictable, of course the neighbour did it they didn't even give us any background or show the "rival gangs" enough for them to actually matter. Nothing exciting happened. It was incredibly dull just like the pilot. Rookie Blue is entertaining! This puts me to sleep.
Problem with this show is the standards are going to be considerably high if this show was actually created by Urban Crime novelist Richard Price. This show is filled with tropes that you would find in his books but doesn't have the cohesive emotional character driven momentum. The Execution is just too broad.
The last real attempt at complex crime drama on broad cast was Fox's The Chicago Code. I wish it have been given the second season it deserves.

For some reason I couldn't get interested in Rookie Blue, but love NYC 22. Probably has something to do with how much I like the actors. I'm pretty much a sucker for any cop show.
I've never heard of Rookie Blue!!! But LOVE NYC 22...too bad they cancelled it...hopefully with them airing the last few episodes it will get people interested in the show again.
actually having now watched every episode, many of them out of order, I quite liked this series...even the Afghan muslim cop kind of grew on me... too bad it got canned in one season..crappier shows than this have survived multiple seasons..
