PATHETIC WASTE OF TIME MADE BY PEOPLE WITH NO INTEGRITY

They have 15 fake 10 star reviews, they listed 3 fake award wins, and this kind of garbage needs to fail in life and hard to set example for anybody else trying to game the system.

As I fully expect them to try to mess with negative reviews, reposting my review here:

"I HATE fake reviews and trash that makes them to support their piece of garbage films, which is the ONLY reason I am bothering at all to write this. If I did not see 15 10 star reviews I would have given this film a 2 (its a 1+1 for the effort, its best it deserves), however that they are so pathetic as to try to game the system and insult intelligence of every IMDB user, that rating is now a 1.

This is supposed to be Sci Fi film. Intro scene fairly obviously stole Deus Ex intro, but execution was so bad its just sad. Idea, short rewind of time', intrigued me. I watched bad opening hoping it gets better. Monotonous reading by main male actor kinda killed the mood a bit, but as its supposed to be female lead I still had some hope. That female is too chunky and unhealthy looking to pass FBI yearly, but ok, lets give even that benefit of suspended disbelief.

Problem is, it didnt get better. No. More I watched, worse it got. Writing is atrocious, directing, acting, ... there is nothing good about it at all.I question if any of people involved had and previous experience with project that succeeded.

This is type of film that makers put up on Youube for free. And even then, its not worth your bandwidth nor time to watch.

I am semi expecting this type of lamers to also mass report this review, so I'll post this on forum as well and probably be forced to keep reposting it until somebody from IMDB wakes up and grants my review immunity. So if you guys wanna play, we'll play, or just leave my review alone, its not my fault you suck at making films."

I stumbled across this film on Amazon while waiting for my car to be serviced yesterday. I was intrigued enough to finish watching it before I left the dealer. Sure the actors were amateurs but we all have to start somewhere. If you want to see a POS watch the film made from the Highlander TV series, now that was horrendous compared to this film. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to this movie.

You cant be serious! Highlander TV Series, and spin off Raven were both EPIC. This movie was just garbage.

I can name few dozen films which were 100% free and far superior to this crap. YouTube and Vimeo are full of small time film makers making short films with far better acting, writing, directing ...

Dude, I hate people making fake accounts as much as the next guy, but if you think Highlander and Raven were EPIC TV series, then you are not to be trusted to review
anything.
People have the right to their opinion, and as I have not watched this movie yet,
I have seen other movies that I enjoyed that some people would say were horrible.

Like I enjoyed the Prequel Star Wars movies, can't see why people had such a problem
with them, for an example.

Ok, so you are going to state that this movie was better than Firefly?

New SyFy TV show is 12 Monkeys. Have you watched Pilot? Pilot on its own is good enough to beat most B-Budget films.

I doubt you'll find many who are not involved with production of Time Runners who will agree with you there.

I'd go with 'its just as bad as most SyFy shows/films' but seriously thats nothing to be proud of.

If film is inferior to average things shown on Showcase ten years ago, it just shouldn't have been made as is. Unless this film was made with some sort of grant and for pennies, its not going to make even enough to buy a cup of coffee for everyone involved, and its going to look like black mark on resume of anybody involved with it who claims credit.

And that they chose to try to cheat the system with fake reviews I find appalling (EDIT: I originally misspelled this as appealing, and had to correct it as much as I hate editing messages). Maybe we cant all have talent for everything, but we all start out with potential to have integrity.

A little hypocrisy?

Everyone's certainly entitled to their opinion. Zealous commentary rocks! And I think it helps to keep filmmakers improving their craft. But you're trying to stand on some kind of moral ground, when you're own post/review is a little misleading. It casts into doubt the many other 1-star ratings/reviews.

Obvious example: the awards you said are fake aren't fake. Here's the link to the two frightnight wins (which is a huge film fest)... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fright_Night_Film_Fest

And are the critics' reviews faked? All but one are favorable... And all the five-star Amazon reviews?

Nothing I wrote is in any way misleading. I watched this film with 5 friends, nobody liked it, although we tend to like different films sometimes.I read reviews left here and they are as fake as it gets. This is NOT a 10 star film is anybody's mind. Even creator of it cannot think it deserves 10 stars. Yet, tons of 10 star reviews here. Yeah, right.

Fake.

Amazon 5 star reviews are actually almost always fake when they are overwhelming, I thought everybody knew that. Even for best electronics there is a spread of ratings. For something as subjective as a bad film, negative reviews should be overwhelming, not positive.

Wikipedia entries are added by regular folks. That some place has small film festival is nothing new. I constantly see Wiki entries on nobody's stating how accomplished person is, when in reality person paid somebody to get it up there. Even on Fiverr people sell Wikipedia entries for 5 bucks. Either way this is not a film deserving of any awards, its a BADly made film. If anybody gave it award, theres something fishy, maybe they bought award.

Find me single RESPECTABLE and KNOWN critic who liked this film to at least 5-6/10. Just one. Somebody writing for New Yorker, or New York Times, or something equally on the level where they would have integrity.

Everybody starts where they can. You have to put it all in perspective. You don't like it - Okay, that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion. But they tried to do something... which is WAY more than I can say for 98% of Hollywood.

Except for the writing, everything else is dependent on budget. This proves your skewed point of view... attacking the directing or acting etc... I'm sorry, but that's BS.

Give me a few hundred thou and I'll get SyFy caliber actors & props. Give me a few mil and I'll get Hollywood caliber actors & props. Same I can say for directing. If you've never been on a movie shoot you probably don't know (and if you have, why are you talking). You have a budget and you have to move on to the next shot even on big budget movies. Now when you have a shoe string budget you have to fly through the scenes.

You also have to write your story around what's possible for you... and they attempted quite a feat. I give them extra props for that. I think a lot of people did the same thing.

Let me explain it another way, so maybe you can understand what I'm saying: If I were to take Hollywood movies in this genre and strip them down to the same shoe string budget as this, most would be way worse than this.

Once again, it's fine that you (and your friends) don't like the movie.

But before you throw out things like "Pathetic waste of time" please enlighten us with YOUR movie so we can take an example from you of how a sci-fi masterpiece looks in your vision!

There is quality, and then there is garbage, and this film is just garbage. If it wasn't for all the fake reviews and fake 10/10 ratings it would have a score of 1-3 tops. People are pretty stupid, but they are not THAT stupid to think that this will ever be thought of as good.

I do not direct nor act in films, but I do write, and I do watch a LOT of films, and it is my opinion that not a single person involved with this project could do their job right.

I'm sorry but you're totally out of your element. And no, I'm not a fan of theirs, I just admire their guts.

Now speaking of posting nonsense. You really should not be using the term "clueless" when it exemplifies exactly what you are. Let me elaborate:

1) Your argument: It doesn't depend on money and as an example you give Desperado and a link to its Wiki page. Problem is you forgot to READ that wiki page which clearly states it was made for 7 MILLION. 95ers was made for a few tens of thousands. Your math skills are horrible. But WAIT - IT GETS WORSE FOR YOU: 7 million in 1995, when Desperado was made is equal to 10,873,700.79 in today's money, adjusting for inflation. Talk about clueless.

2) Your link is to a parody movie based on Star Wars? Meh, don't mean to be critical but your argument is beyond deluded to point to a movie that steals the theme of a well known movie and vamps on it and compare it to one that has to make its own story. I personally thought your movie example was banal at best. Not putting the people that made it down because I can appreciate their effort... but it's easy when you get to work in the world that Lucas created.

Your opinion is your opinion and that's fine. I agree that some reviews seem fake. But yours seems fake too because you seem to be bent over about the fake reviews - so YOUR review is more a review of their reviews.

So using your logic, my review of YOUR review is that you're a stuck up bitter person because I see only 2 reviews on your profile and they're both to rip on movies. I see NO positive reviews.

And since you claim to write, let's see some of your writing. Or are you afraid?

And I misnamed film. I meant El Mariachi, not Desperado.

This film is *beep* Thats not going to change. It was made, and now it will be laughed at and be a black mark on a resume of everybody involved. It will not affect me in any way whatsoever. Careers of everybody involved with this crap ended with this film.

I write under nom de plume, several actually, in three different languages, and I bet any of my top dozen books made more individually than this film will make in next 100 years.

I have nothing to gain by telling you what my author names are, it would be just opening myself up to you trying to troll. No thanks.

Not going to comment on the movie yet since I am watching it now, but did you miss the part where the female lead is pregnant? Chunky kind of goes along with that.

I'm sure this film needs every excuse its fans can come up with. Maybe come up with whole list and distribute it to all the fake reviewers and rest of employees posing as 'I am unaffiliated, I just love this movie because its the best ever'and then they can keep using same few points over and over. they did that to market cloud atlas, in the end settling to posting on ton of LGBT forums asking people to come give it a 10.

Maybe you guys can go to pregnant women forums and do the same. And at the same time set up donations because thats only way people involved with this film will make few bucks.

You are seriously a fool, they said she was preggo in the first 10 minutes. And no it isn't getting a 10 from me in the slightest, nor did I have *beep* to do with the production of it. Simple, I went in blind, watched the movie, rated it accordingly (unlike you) and gave it a 4.7/10. If you want to be taken seriously as a critic, try to make sense and not just blast away for no reason. Calling this movie a 1 is an irresponsible and worthless misleading rating and hopefully no one listens. Now if you expect Interstellar out of this movie that is just not going to happen but as long asyou don't pay 20 bucks to see it and catch it on netflix or redbox, it is worth it.

This film is not even worth seeing for free.

I would not want to waste my time watching it if they paid ME $20 to see it.

Last place it should ever end up on is Netflix or Redbox lol, at best it might end up in discount bins at a video store.

I watched it, with lot of help from 2x speed through most parts. I honestly do not see how anybody can have such bad taste in films to make crap like this film. Maybe somebody decided they wanted to make a movie, and they concentrated so much on getting it done that quality took a seat somewhere far in the back of the bus.

Why do you bother defending this? Best thing for everybody involved in making of this disaster is for it to disappear, and for noone to ever bring it up again.

I don't understand this guy jackhuntermtl, he seems so adamant in making everyone see the movie like a piece of garbage, like his opinion is some kind of universal truth and we all have to share it.

This is actually a pretty good film, I was tempted to five it an 8 but the execution lacked. There are several places where you see the low budget, however the script lets you with a feeling of satisfaction.

Hollywood puts out so much expensive crap these days, I'm having a hard time thinking of a good blockbuster movie I've seen this year. So yeah, I enjoyed this film for its lack of car chases and supernatural beings and fighting scenes that never end in a continuous CGI soup of boredom that constantly forces you to think about what the plot is, if one exists at all.

This film stands out.

It stands out as utter garbage.

My opinion is fact. I watch around 700 films a year, every year, over half of which are not in English. That this film manages to be worse than things they make in Nigeria is about only exceptional thing about it.

That does not mean you cant enjoy it. But if you pour whip cream over horse dung and eat it, I cannot pretend its anything but what it is.

I have rarely seen such a vehement loathing for a movie as yours, Jack. It's not enough to just dislike a movie intensely. You have brought it to a new high or rather low, I might say.

YET, there is no admiration on my part for your review. It bespeaks of something much deeper which occurred in your mind. I won't lower myself to diagnose you, as others were so eager to say, nor will I try to explain why you needed to say what you did, in some logical sense, nor will I try to make sense of the degree of hatred which you have expounded. But I will say that it is unnatural and we may never know just what caused you to go off on this movie. There must be something unprecedented in your view, that only you know of.

I will say that I will agree to disagree. But that will not even please you nor satisfy me. In conclusion, I am sorry you took such a disliking to the film. It was harmless fun and it held my interest throughout. It was not over-the-top remarkable, but it was certainly not as bad as you were so interested in sharing with us.
