In Defense of Annie

No, I do not like Annie but may I ask, why do you guys think that this is the worst movie in 2014? There's a more annoying movie that came out that same year called The Boxtrolls, while it was interesting, the characters were annoying in an excessively rude way and there's a cliched plot in it. This movie is currently at like a 5.1, and I rated it a 5, it did have some positive messages in it that the original Annie carried but not as positive as the original Annie, the dancing and some of the old songs that I remember from it can be fun but I don't care much for the movie's modern take.

Most of you probably haven't seen Boxtrolls but it is a bit worse in my opinion. But have your opinion anyway.

I hope that there is an Evangelion video game where you can beat Asuka up!

Thanks for your post. I looked up 2014 kids movies and find that Annie 2014 was a lot better than most all 2014 kids films. Annie(2014) was better than The Box Trolls, The Lego Movie, The Book of Life, and Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Although The Boxcar Children is Adorable, Annie was better. I feel Big Hero 6, Maleficent were better than Annie. That leaves How To Train Your Dragon 2 which I didn't care for all that much.
I just rewatched Annie tonight and find myself so pleased at just how good this film is. It hasgrwat, fun music and dancing, it's funny and cute and adorable and touching. This movie just has so much heart.

The Boxtrolls is awesome. Highly recommended if you like movies like Coraline and Corpse Bride.

Why are you comparing a dark, all ages, stop motion fantasy to a lighthearted children's pop musical? The Boxtrolls is a wonderful piece of art, from the stop motion to the 3D effects to the visuals and voiceovers. Thanks for reminding me I own it; I have been looking for something fun to watch in 3D!

Like comparing The Secret of NIMH to Frozen. Did you see the awfulness of what they did to Secret of NIMH 2?

I couldn't believe they took a gritty dramatic animated film and made it into some happy musical with a teaching moment. I wanted to gouge out my eyes.
