Cameron Diaz = campy, Carol Burnett = dark, creepy

Cameron Diaz's horrible performance in this made me appreciate Carol Burnett's amazing performance as Miss Hannigan.

Diaz really hammed it up here. She was horrible. She overacted. It was like she was playing a parody of the character rather than the character herself. Watch Burnett's powerful performance and tell me you don't see a difference.

Not only did Burnett sing "Little Girls" so much better and with more emotion, the entire atmosphere was better -- singing in the bathroom while sipping bottles of alcohol was deeper/darker than whatever the hell Diaz was doing.

And why'd they get rid of Miss Hannigin's alcoholism?? That's part of her character. They even changed "Make her drink a Mickey Finn" to "send her to the looney bin." Wtf??

And what is the point is casting an Annie who can't sing? Andrea Mcardle she is not...lol. In a musical based on a broadway musical you kind of want to have actors who can sing on a broadway level...that's kind of the point.
