Big Surprise

The movie did exactly what it should've done...in my eyes. The greatest thing about watching this was Penn Badgley's performance. I was nervous that he wasn't going to pull it off (mostly biased because he's on a show like Gossip Girl) but jesus I was AMAZED. He wore the role like a second skin, as Peter Travers puts it and made every scene so intense. I got chills during the record store scene and re-watched it numerous times. Biggest acting surprise I've had the privilege to watch in a while. As of right now in the year I think he deserves an Oscar nomination. I look forward to more Badgley, indeed.

Would you consider posting a review? The only review on this film is kind of negative and it would be nice to have the other point of view so people can better decide if they want to see the film or not

I agree that record store scene was the best. And you know Jeff would've really done that. I've met Sean Lennon and I've met Jakob Dylan but I think Jeff is a rare case of son surpassing the father. I guess some could disagree and maybe it's also different because I knew of Jeff before Tim...but I totally put myself in the shoes of that girl with the crush on Tim...I've met the sons and if any had displayed something like that at random, my mind would've been blown.
