Manolis and Koula's house wasn't nearly woggy enough

I guess. I'm just disappointed we didn't see any ceramic lions.

The Asians have the Lions, you dill, Wogs just have columns. They had Holy pictures in their bedroom and their vegie garden with tomatoes growing in the backyard. She was fussing in the kitchen and she got food out when the grandkids came over. What more do you want? maybe it wasn't wine making season yet.

Go hang out in Clayton in Melbourne and you will see how many Greeks have Lions on their fences.
By the way, in case you missed it, I was joking saying it wasn't woggy enough.

Yeah I can read and I 'got' what you meant. But obviously my 'tongue in cheek' tone didn't come through in my post! There's enough Greeks and other Wogs (as well as lots of other nationalities) in Sydney that I don't have to travel to Melbourne to pick up the vibes of the different cultures. That's what makes up 'Modern Australia', like it or not!

both Greeks and Asians have ceramic lions - but its more common for the greeks to have them in and around the western suburbs. The only way to tell the difference depends on what car is in the driveway

reply

Maybe that's so, south of the border, I think I've only seen them in Asian communities here. I'll have to take more notice and see if many Greek homes have them here too.
