An interesting but partisan documentary.

As one reviewer who posted on this board said the first half is great and draws you in with the archive footage about his early years and then abruptly shifts into a overtly left wing film. Anyone with some knowledge of poltiics and history will recognize most of the people being interviewed as being of the left persuasion. A good 30 minutes of the second hour is spent on the Iran Contra scandal and another 20 on how Reagan was bad for the poor and good for the rich. About 5 minutes is given to the Cold War and the film closes discussing his disease. I give it a C- for Reagan documentaries.

I made a copy of the PBS American Experience documentary about Reagan for a school teacher friend of mine to show in class and cut the entire Iran Contra stuff because it's completely pointless. When showing and discussing Reagan's great legacy, that issue comes in about 107th on the list.

Winning the Cold War, restoring American pride and American military might, leading in innovation and saving the world economy should be the primary focus of any documentary about Reagan. Glad I could do my part to craft what young minds see. It's in stark contrast to the moronic indoctrination they usually receive but every little bit helps the truth come to light.

Yeah, you're right, history should just ignore the crimes he commited, legally, ethically and morally.

Censorship. Brezhnev would be so proud.
