This is unfortunately some kids' reality. My parents were exactly like this until recently. I wouldn't say they were the worst parents ever, but yeah, the word 'tyrannical' certainly does hit the mark.
shareSeeing her grow at the end was a welcome relief but I almost didnt believe the character would be emotionally capable of it.
shareI grew up with a very overprotective father and I related to Bethany's character a bit. While he didn't go quite so far as homeschooling me and never letting me leave the house, we did fight at least once a week when I was a senior in high school because I didn't want to go to the state university in my hometown so I could be close-by.

sharecan't stand her. been hoping they kill her off of breaking bad every episode for years. i bet she is like that in real life. she's too good at it for it not to be real.
sharenbroyles that's a bit much. People need to chill with that crap. She's an actress, you shouldn't place your hatred for a character on the person playing them. She didn't write the script or the character.
