What the hell happened to this show?

Did the network fix-it-up kill the show?

Were they 'touch'ed to change lives (in season 1) or did they become the stupidest characters (ever devised on network or cable television) on the run?

Did Martin really leave Lucy (at the motel/fix-me-up gas station) 20 miles from Aster Corp after spending two season's trying to find Amelia with Lucy.

THEN HE AND JAKE FINALLY GET THEM BOTH TOGETHER so Lucy could wind up with a bullet in her head on some deserted (20 miles out from all the bloodbath) highway?

Psychic Jake? EARTH to Amelia? The numbers are calling! This is season 2!! please..........stop speaking through telepathy and start kicking some a$$ on this planet already so we can get renewed!

No, OKAY!

And the entire cast of season 1 is DROPPED! Without explanation???

Then of course, there is the bullet proof nut priest (because all priest are psychotic nuts in Hollywood)

This was to satisfy the PC crowd..

But now the priest must slash bloody throat, after bloody throat!

It doesn't matter if it's just 1 victim, it could even be 3 or 4 for a major publication company?

But there's no police!

Where's the police?

This a big time media homicide story?

Even the dumb Australian guy running the organization thinks he's dead!

Did he not even get a police line-up? Was he NOT told, no body was found"

NO!

The good men & women of California law enforcement would have none of this!!

Meanwhile, if Jake really wanted his father to live, he would speak up...wouldn't he!

Right?

We saw this already, when he (Jake) believed his own precious life was in jeopardy!!!

Selfish dumb bastard!

And Amelia can she please stop being some idiotic tarot reading throwing card clown in some moronic circus???

#'s, #'s!, #'s!!!

"I SEE NUMBERS, I SEE PATERNS..."

ENOUGH!

The first 6 episodes were good but this show quickly became a disaster thereafter.

And Avram is he reading his lines through some teleprompter so he can take a quick dip line for some throwback cocaine habit he abandoned years ago?

"M.A.R.T.I.N, 'ugh, M.A.R.T.I.N", uh, "J.A.K.E, "can you hear me? 'uh' boy, J.A.K.E", uh, um, uh, uh...um, uh, ugh...."J.A.K.E no um I mean...'uh..."

"M.A.R.T.I.N...my monotonic voice shou.l.d n.o.t FOOL y.o.u, but i, i'm, uh, have s.u.r.p.r.i.s.i.n.g nne...ws, uh..

Wish Guillermo would have slashed his throat all along!

The show wasn't doing well in the first place but got renewed anyway so they retooled it to attract more viewers. Then the network delayed the season and by the time it returned, hardly anyone really cared.

"Weird is just a side effect of being awesome."

The pilot was great but it fell lopsided after that. Season 2 was a mess.

Great summary of a show that started out not half bad but totally lost it in the second season.

I agree. Instead of showing some patience and letting a fascinating premise find its audience they let minds lacking in sensitivity and nuance re-tool it aiming to attract a larger audience. As usually happens this ham fisted treatment wrecked a good thing. By catering to the lowest common denominator we drag everyone to the bottom rung. Badly done.
