Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie

NOMS are announced July 14, 2016. Fingers crossed for an actor who's been trying so very, very hard over the years... And now? LDP absolutely KICKED A** as a super-creepy Richard Ramirez. Congrats, brother!

Wow. Man. Creeped me out. Authentic. Even matched the staccato voice stylings of the real RR. Freaky and believable. Ab...so...lute...ly... NAILED IT. CREEPY! (Kudos to Quyan Tran, whose camera made use of a great PHYSICAL appearance LDP could deliver, too...)

Unfortunately...and it's a BIG regret...casting Belamy Young was a fail. Her acting ability just can't stand-up to LDP. She couldn't match the grit of LDP's performance. And -- chick's way-too-conscious the camera's rolling. "Schmacting." (Mugs for camera while acting -- affected, schlocky acting; i.e., SCHMACTING.)

But rest of the casting (unknowns) was pretty awesome. Good, unknown actors. 'Just wish they would've gambled with "the next Robin Wright" instead of Belamy Young being on "Scandal." (And she looks SO MUCH like Mandy Moore in this flick. Ruined it for me, too.)

So...Academy! Please...PLEASE...just ignore the Bellamy-Miscast-Crap...and how this was Lifetime... and just laser-beam-focus on what's a very gutsy and disturbing performance by LDP and recognize him with at least a nom. The script at times? Meh! It could be a little weak. But LDP made up for that with his performance. Had me absolutely creeped-out. Nice...

Lou Diamond Phillips owned it...he became "The Nightstalker."
