I can't get past the first half....

I think the first part of this film is first rate, with a great cast.

Once things go animated, though...ugh. I've tried to stick with it twice, and just can't. I don't know if it's because I find the animation grotesque, or the situation's just become mystifying, or what.

I'll probably give it another try next year, but I don't have high hopes.

Such an interesting premise, though. And Robin Wright is perfection.

It was the opposite for me. The first hour in the real world was painful to watch and I had to force myself. It was all self-referencing Hollywood BS and depression. Then it went to animated and I was like "WTF is this *beep* but I kept watching and as soon as the sniper rifle was assembled I was finally hocked to the movie.
